Well you can do your own research into the origins of homo sapien sapiens. Read "The Seven Daughters of Eve" for an interesting look at how the evidence shows how the earliest humans spread around the world.

My answer is going to be how "Adam and Eve" ties into all of this.

The Old Testament is basically a compilation of selected oral traditions passed on from one culture and a few of the surrounding tribes. Basically these oral traditions were the stories told around the campfire to give the early hebrews a cultural identity. Pretty much all tribes had their own oral traditions, but what is written in the Old Testament survived because the tribe eventually wrote them down.

There are a few things to consider about this... the first is that all these stories have some truth to them in that they were important enough stories for the tribe to pass them down throughout the generations until eventually they were important enough to write down. The second thing to consider is that these stories were passed on for thousands of years before being written down. Surely the significance of the stories would have changed their context over this vast period of time. The third thing is that these stories were never meant to describe the entire world, only that particular culture. In other words, the stories were based on all that they knew, not all that was.

So what could the story of Adam and Eve have represented for the early Hebrews? The creation of the world? We know this is not the case, but what could have happened that these Hebrews would have found so significant that they would hold it in so high a regard as to call it creation? Can history give us any clues as to what could have been so significant to these people 8000-10,000 years ago?

The fact is, history can tell us about a very significant event that happened at around the same time and in about the same area. This event was the Agricultural Revolution.

Now, it should be said that humans had been around for hundreds of thousands of years prior to the Agricultural Revolution. During this period, human population growth was rather slight. These early tribes were mostly hunter-gatherers with some low-level farming. A comparative look at some of the isolated tribes of today shows that they have a high respect for nature, and concepts like ownership of land and ownership of food are pretty much non-existant. They lived as animals, and by that I mean that they killed and ate what they needed, and for protection, but very rarely more than that. This was pretty much a law of limited competition as we see amung other animals in the wild today. Humans did not claim dominion over the planet or its food. One day the human hunters caught the deer, another day the deer got away, and yet another day a tiger caught the deer. The humans did not resent the tiger for this because they were living as the tiger did.. in a way, whether the deer lived or who caught it, was up to the gods. By "the gods" I of course mean the Animist "gods" found in the majority of tribal cultures.

Fast forward to the Agricultural Revolution when humans began to think differently about their food. Rather than rely on "the gods" for their food, humans began a concentrated wholesale campaign to grow and have complete control over their own food. Animals were domesticated and raised on farms for the purpose of eventually eating them. This time the deer or other livestock belonged to the humans first and foremost. The deer's fate was sealed from birth, it belonged to the humans. The livestock were also protected from other prey, and when necessary, the humans went to war with other would-be competitors for the livestock. To put it another way, humans suddenly took control and decided who lived and who died. Until the Agricultural Revolution, this was the "Knowledge of the Gods."

Do you see where this is going?

The story of the fall of Adam and Eve is the story of the Agricultural Revolution. The story was probably originally told from the point of view of a neighbouring tribe who watched the revolution begin. They believed it was an abomination what these early Hebrews (possibly) were doing. The gods had provided for all up to then and by claiming the knowledge of the gods (eating the apple) they had begun living outside of the laws of nature which had worked so well from the beginning of time. These observers assumed chaos would ensue and "the gods" would no longer provide for them or protect them, thus they were "cast out of the garden." Fortunately for the early Hebrews, this new form of making a living seemed to work quite well. It is likely that the observing tribe was assimilated or at least took up this new way of making a living as it very quickly spread all over the world.

So the story of Adam and Eve wasn't about the creation of humans, but the creation of civilization as we know it! Surely an event worthy of being passed down in a story for generations.

Another thing that is interesting about this, is the spiritual basis of these people was taken away from them. What right did they have to claim dominion over the world and all the animals and plants in it? Who could possibly have given humans the authority to have the knowledge of the gods, of good and evil? Well, who else could give that kind of authority, but the gods themselves.

So this wasn't just the birth of civilization as we know it, but it was also the birth of religion (or perhaps I should say God) as we know it as well. What better coronation story for us, than to be created by god in his own image to rule over the earth.

Two! Now there are more than 7 billion. What difference does it make? We are all living on the one thing that is common to us all - the planet. We have got to stop trying to argue a point of view and start working on coming together as a people and start living according to our true design.

The world is small; what affect just one; affects us all. If we all hold hands, what shape do you think we form? Well, I suggest we had better start holding hands before we fall out of shape. We are all in the business of taking care of ourselves, each other, and the planet on which we live. Sadly, we are not doing this.

We need to wake up before we all break up over all this bickering. Listen, the greatest defense of a point of view is war. Last question: We came out of the womb playing, so, if we came out of the womb playing (like all new born babies – whether animals, etc.), how in the world do we wind up fighting and killing each other? We need to wake up and play up before we all get sucked up and mucked up by the powerful influence of mind design. We have to live from the heart and learn to love one another. The heart is the first thing that forms when we are born – peace!

If we only could relax into the NOW. We are the people that are the foundation of generations to come. What are we doing to make a positive difference to perpetuate our human species? Less fighting for superiority and more joining and collaborating on the things we share in common. Science has already shown that everyone on the planet has a sub-suhara gene. Your skin and hair and eyes and size don't erase whats going on inside of you. Lets face it. We are all related. Don't kill the messenger...

You are asking a science question and trying to relate it to religion, I got news for you, the Bible is full of stories to teach a lesson. Grow up and use some common sense, sorry to be harsh but you will forgive since your a Christian. The Bible has been proven so wrong so many times. Catholics thought the earth is 10,000 years old haha what a joke. They did not expect science to be where it is when they made **** up. Fossils have been found in African Continents over 5 Million years old. The oldest they named Lucy but there may have been more found since then.

In my point of view you should know that Adam and Eve can be a kind of theory as well as human evolution theory, because we only can have believe and faith in Adam and Eve tale (there is not clear evidence) however on the other hand you see that human's lineage is derived from human like creatures including monkeys, our developed way of thinking and brightness has distinguished humans from animals, there is one concept that can be in future another type of humans derived from us that are more developed than us? simple things gathered and mad a complex system in a very organized way and resulted in humans. i believe that Adam and Eve tale is a mysterious story that apple is symbolized as something that motives humans to do however they will make mistake at end if they lose their faith in what God has said, then the Genesis chapter is something that can not be under analysis of filters that scientists apply. our thinking way has improved and we want answer to our question how were we created, the answer is we are from bacterias materialistically , but spiritually we have better options to grow up only by keeping faith in ourselves, why humans are identified? who identified them? we have to be identified because of the fact that every civilization has a different language for communication and their cultures is different too, even their God is different, some has gods but other civilization have only one God that created world. people think there is a God that created world but scientists only consider the fact what caused humans to be created? do you think humans are purposeless on earth? i believe holy books are for humans to understand themselves better. if we had not any book as bible with such story you never have come here and be curious about your origins.

"The origin of the races as that which proceeds from 5 basic groups. The first group to inhabit earth as entities similar to the humans known today was the Lemurian race."

Cosmic Awareness:
This Awareness indicates that the Lemurians were of a very old historic origin on this earth, and there is seen no disagreement in this entity's comment in this regard. This Awareness suggests that these entities did at one time have inter-space travel; there were visitations from other planetary systems to and from Lemuria. This Awareness suggests this (statements) continues.
"These entities were made by genetic engineering which was done by Sirians on the highest ape at that time. These people evolved away from the animal traits and became more and more human-like as time went on."

Cosmic Awareness:
This Awareness indicates that It sees the genetic engineering as that which produced human genes or Sirian genes into the animal kingdom to produce apes. That it was not so much that the apes were made to evolve toward the human by these Sirians, but that the humans added certain human genes to the apes, or to those creatures of anthropoidal nature and altered them somewhat. The humans were the Sirians and had their development already intact.

The effort to alter the ape was a separate experiment. This Awareness indicates that there were alterations in the apes or anthropoid types. These were not as widespread as many would believe. This Awareness indicates however, the Lemurians in general were descendants of the Sirians, and some genetic engineering made use of of genes from animals to give the Sirian humans a kind of stability that allowed them to survive on the Earth plane which was necessary for the survival due to harsh conditions. This Awareness indicates this had to do with certain qualities of the native anthropoidal beings which were used to the environmental conditions, whereby these qualities added to the Sirian natural physical bodies, and gave them the greater survival ability to adapt themselves to the life conditions on the Earth. This Awareness suggests the message continue.

I hate when people bash Christianity especially when they know nothing they are talking about. They say it's bs but do you even know somebody that has had experiences from God or even tried to tap into the spirit world yourself to see if it's real or not?

I believe in the bible teachings about God being the creator of all things because he is the most powerful and can do anything he desires to take place. You must have faith in order to believe and God will know you really want to know the truth so he can give insight to those asking.

40,000 to 50,000 years before present fully modern human beings appeared. There appears to be some connecting evidence for evolution. However, by that time each continent had fully modern human beings. As to their color? Hmmmmmm, Seems people transform through time due to climate, foods, activity, and so forth, transformational processes. So, although the Bible is oral tradition written down, there is still some chance that Christian stories are not totally wrong........... However, it seems to correlate with the advent of historical writing and concerns Hebrew Oral tradition, the rest of the world also has its own oral traditions as well as scientific inquiry.............
