God gave Moses his 10 commandaments, without talking about Hell. If people are so religious, why do they say the name of God all the time? Isn't it forbidden by his laws? Isn't Hell just a scaring tactic? God didn't say anything about Hell in his laws. And if he's the only God, we have to respect just his laws, and no one else's. So, the question is: why should we listen to what Christianity said about Hell and not just to what God told Moses in the first place, supposedly without intermediaries like Paul, who was just a man?

God name's doesn't have vowels because it was a hebrew word and ancient hebrew didn't use vowels. It's something that they applied later.

And just another thing: if someone has chosen the way of Hellfire, can't people just accept his/her decision without trying to redeem him/her? Wouldn't it be respect?

By the way, I'm not Christian and I've never believed in Hell, for the simple fact there's no proof and nobody ever came back to tell us about Hell. And I know some people will say that Jesus died and resurrected, but since I don't believe in Jesus as the son of God, well, that doesn't work with me. I have more faith in God than a lot of people, becaue I do believe he's smart enough not to condemn people simply because they aren't his worshippers. I believe that God would be wise and just, not a king, a monarch or a dictator who doesn't care of what his servants do as long as they prey everyday and they repent at their death.

christians contradict themselves in almost every aspect. the fact is that when christianity was formed it was intently made to scare people and make them slaves. over the years in a desperate attempt to keep it alive christians have found every loophole to try and keep christianity valid. however it has made it into a mystical and hardly believable religion. if you want to believe in god and get around all the contradictions then be Jewish. at least they criticize themselves and openly admitt that what is written in the Torah, old testament, might not be true. its just good stories to help guide you through life. you cannot discuss this with christians rationally, and there is a reason. they see the contradictions but turn a blind eye to it, its called denial. the sad thing is they still push it on others and condemn them to hell. they openly admitt they are sheep, they dont think for themselves. maybe they like it that way. but we need people that think for themselves in the world. i think that is one reason alot of the greatest thinkers in the world have been Jewish or non religious, they are not afraid to question and discover.

There is more than just the 10 Commandments. Just because something wasn't included in that doesn't make it exist (or not). Saying the Lord's name in vain IS forbidden, and I wouldn't advise it. Just because Christians do it doesn't make it right.

To just follow the 10 Commandments and take everything else out would be saying you're not really Christian. The whole point is to follow Jesus Christ. And the 10 commandments was in the old testament. He came a bit later.

I don't believe in a hell. The history of the Catholic and Christian churches shows why ecclesiastic doctrine is so important to them as a control device over it's subjects.

Jesus indicated there is a Hell (Matthew 25:41, 46), and that is good enough for me.

Are you really wiling to wait and find out the hard way that Hell exists? By the time that you do it will be too late for you to turn back.

Jesus talked more about hell than He talked about heaven. I do not understand why anyone would choose hell. : )

Hell is very real place, stay away from it. All forgiven people go to heaven, ask forgiveness..wise move. :)

Hell is sometimes defined as being away from god. How can you be away from an omnipresent being?

Gods name is actually Yahweh, so saying something like god damnit, isn't truly taking his name in vain.
