It was written in a time when the world was less choatic.. therefore wouldnt that make you believe it more? Anyone that has followed the bible and been inspired by its words and advice knows how fulfilling it is...When It was written the truth was more perceivable...?

at any time in your life, did you ever convert from christianity or atheism? if so, why did you change your mind? how long since you made that change? do you feel you made the right decision? why or why not?

please keep it cordial. i don't want a war on here. we all have the right to think how we want to think. thanks!

(if you want my info, i'm atheist. i converted from catholicism, and was once part of a christian youth group. today, i pray to God sometimes and i go to church rarely. my version of God takes on the form of a spiritual force of nature instead of the humanlike entity that i was taught at church. i converted about 2 years ago, because i learned more about the philosophy of eastern and other religions. i'm happy with the change, because it enables me to better understand religions i am unfamiliar with. but i still show respect for the christian religions.)

That question about the Saturday Sabbath was an embarrassment.

"we are no longer under the law" blah blah blah.

Did you know who that (Galatians) was written for? A group of Pharisees that were so into the law they wouldn't rescue a drowning brother on the Sabbath.

If Yeshua came back, would He want us to

a) stop living so gosh darn HOLY and be free from the Law

or

b) Repent and change our ways.

I think b.

If you are so free of the Law, why do you follow the other 9 commandments? If you are so free from the Law, why don't you go kill someone.

Have you ever heard the "real witch is a coven initiated" remark? Why all the fuss about it?
I am self-dedicated but an frustrated by the potentially dogmatic attitude that the "real witch.... etc" can convey. Is possible to find unity in our wide and varied Wicca and Pagan community or have I lost my marbles? Granted, this question is an old chestnut but I like to see some answers and opinions. Why would an Earth Angel be living as a seen human here on Earth...what would of that be ?

Can we not just have one day in our busy lives that are not Saturday or Sunday to claim as the Sabbath?

Why Saturday or Sunday?
Who made that rule?

I'm very active in my church, as a Sunday School teacher, a leader in the Men's Ministry, AWANA (a children's outreach program; it's pretty cool), member of a couple of committees, running the projector on occasion, volunteering for various community outreach programs whenever I can, singing in the choir, and am part of the prayer ministry one hour a week and the entire Sunday morning service one weekend a month. In addition I'm a Gideon (hand out New Testaments and place Bibles in hotels, schools, nursing homes, hospitals, etc), and am the Treasurer of my camp. I'm also the admin of 3 Christian websites.

None of you know me, so understand I'm not blowing my own horn. I do want to serve and enjoy it very much. I've wondered though if I'm blocking someone else from a blessing. If you ask that people think "oh my goodness we're burning him out" and will go under-manned rather than ask for help. It bothers me. Have any of you ran across something like this, and how would you handle it?

Imagine the benefits of a religion that can keep up with the times; one that can 'evolve' if you'll permit me to use such an expression. One that doesn't get bogged down with archaic principles that become obsolete once a certain level of knowledge has been attained. A religion that encourages and nurtures technological progress instead of fearing it.

How many of you Agnostics and Athiests and Christians love getting thumbs down in the R&S?

Personally I love it, because then I know that there is someone out there that disagrees with me, and is letting me know that I am right, and they cannot prove their point in their answer, so they give me a bad rating... Its not my fault that I dont have faith and that I choose to not believe in something until I can prove it exists... Its called being logical.

Do the Christians hate Athiests/Agnostics so much, that they hide in their own idiocracy?

The same for Christians, dont you hate it when you get thumbs down from an Athiest/Agnostic for beleiving in God/Jesus? There are also the same dorks that go around and give you guys bad ratings just for believing and having more faith than the rest of us?

I am basically looking for opinions on this matter, and why these guys cant stand each other... Im Agnostic myself...

We are told that angels are a race of heavenly beings that predate the creation of humanity. God created them. Among them, He created Satan, who eventually rebelled and was cast out if Heaven.

Did God know all along that this would happen? Why did He do this?

i see so many preachers on tv preaching prosperity.dont get me wrong. i dont think everybody has to be poor to be holy. but i think far to much time is spent tellin us how to be prosper instead of finding a true relationship with God.people like paula white td jakes creflo dollar etc.

We are always the same place it's at the mall in downtown San Antonio. I work there but he doesn't. In my dream he is there and he is really nice and friendly with my coworkers and everyone around me but once he gets to me he ignores me. I have been having this dream every night. Please help.

I have heard varying answers to this question, and I always find it interesting, as it addresses the nature of what our state of existance will be like in heaven.

Will you be married in heaven? Will you have the same family that you have (or have had) here on Earth?
