Wa`alaykum As-SalaamuWarahmatullahi Wabarakaatuh.
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Dear sister in Islam, thank you very much for your important question.May Allah Almighty enlighten our hearts with the light of Islam.
In every rakah of our salah we say:
" Owner of the Day of Judgment, "(1:4 )
It implies that there is one day of Judgement, when all people will be either rewarded or punished. This world is not the day of Judgement. Hence dishonest people having perfect lives should not divert us from right path.
Allah says:
" Lo! this Quran guideth unto that which is straightest, and giveth tidings unto the believers who do good works that theirs will be a great reward. "(17:9)
" Whosoever goeth right, it is only for (the good of) his own soul that he goeth right, and whosoever erreth, erreth only to its hurt. No laden soul can bear another's load. We never punish until We have sent a messenger. "(17:15)
Ponder over the following verse :
" Repel evil with that which is better. We are best Aware of that which they allege.
And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones,
And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me,
Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back,
That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised.
And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another.
Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful.
And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding.
The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein.
(It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them?
They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk.
Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong doers.
He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me.
Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art best of all who show mercy;
But ye chose them from a laughing stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them.
Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast; and they verily are the triumphant.
He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years?
They will say: We tarried but a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count!
He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew.
Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us?" (Al-Quran 23:96 to 115)

Every feeling has a reason behind it. Take some time, think, which aspect of Islam makes you feel it is the wrong religion. What makes your iman weak. Analyse. If you take the time and think intelligently enough you will find the answer.
Once you have done that, talk to someone who is well versed in Islam. Someone who does not just read out words from the Al-Quran but someone who understands the meaning of the religion as a whole. If you do not know anyone like that, pray and someone will come to guide you.
Often negative emotions about any religion arises due to misunderstanding about the religion. Once your confusion or your question has been answered your iman will be restored.
Do not worry. This happens to a lot more people than you think.

Bismillahirahmaniraheem,
This is something we all experience, maintain your faith!
(Iman - Absolute and Complete Faith, Certitude, and Determination; the Essence of the Light of these three.)
It is necessary to say the Third Kalimah (Kalima) when these thoughts wander through the mind. It will help a person to repeat this three times. This will help bring Saboor (Inner patience) and Shukoor (Contentment), back into ones life.
This is known as Atma Shanti - Peace of the Soul.
(La Llaha, ill Allahu) - The "Remembrance of God" will bring peace into your heart.
This is from a small Sufi.............
Give it a try my sister,
Alhamdulillah

As-Salaam-Alaykum
Unless you read the Quran daily and stick with it, it is difficult to have imam. When you first read it, it will be boring, but stick with it and your iman will increase once you start understanding it and connecting to it. Plus, believers are always striving to get better Iman, why do you think prophets prayed so much?

Salamu alaikum sis, don't feel bad people get busy with fithna easily but being Muslim we have to avoid it and you know hereafter is better and more lasting. So improving "Iman" requires acquiring knowledge of Deen especially the knowledge of Quran. The more you read Quran more you become strong about your faith and of course, it is for the Benefit for our life after Death.

Sorry, this is an open board and I wish to speak to you. The high you speak of was an emotional high, not permanent, but lasting only a while. Christ Jesus will never leave you or forsake you, read the scriptures, they talk about Him and explain His very essence. Don't fall prey to man made doctrine or man made words of wisdom. Seek truth and accept Christ Jesus and acknowledge Him as God Almighty today. God Bless You....Peace.

It could be worse. At least you don't have this Imam:
http://pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/rss/print_503977.html
Imam Fouad ElBayly, president of the Johnstown Islamic Center, was among those who objected to Hirsi Ali's appearance.
"She has been identified as one who has defamed the faith. If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death," said ElBayly, who came to the U.S. from Egypt in 1976.

Read Good books, know the miracles of the Quran, read It, and do some praying.

read "the bible the qur'an and science" by "Maurice Bucaille", and almost any "Harun Yahya" books, and watch his documentaries on his website "harunyahya.com"..... you have to keep contact with god and the prophet to keep Satan weak.... you have to actually be active and never stop learning about the believe system to quill the doubts that comes from not knowing.... remember Islam is the only religion that requires all its follower (male and female) to keep using their brains and acquire knowledge .... be strong and work on it .... and god will guide the true seeker of truth

I dont know what to tell you.
Try a different mosque? Sometimes Imams like to sway towards their opinions.
Goodluck ma'am.
