Nope, it doesn't say that anywhere. And it does not explain the rules either.
Didn't bash, and you're welcome.

The Sabbath means the 7th day. Most calendars start with Sunday, making Saturday the 7th, but there are some calendars that begin the week with Monday, making Sunday the Sabbath. No, you don't have to have Saturday or Sunday to choose as your Sabbath, but it's easier to use a day that most of the people that you go to church with have the same day off (usually Sunday, or Sunday mornings). It's probly gonna be hard to find a congregation that will meet on a weekday. Not impossible, just hard.

Yes, its the 7th day being Saturday is the Sabbath. Christians think its Sunday, but it is NOT. G-d does not change His word. Yes, He arose Sunday...but He never said "this is the new Sabbath" Rome did.
Hebrews 4:4,8,9 "For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."
Sunday was made as a "power display". A sickening act by the Vatican to show that it was more powerful than the word of G-d. Seems that is is, sadly.
Admitting it here: "You may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line
authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we ICatholics] ne~r sanctify. "-james Cardinal Gibbons
You may be wondering why it is so important that we keep the Sabbath? The importance of the Sabbath has to deal with "who we will choose to obey." The Lord commands that we worship Him on the Sabbath. The Devil under the authority of the Roman Catholic church says we should worship on Sunday. I ask, “Why is the devil attacking the Sabbath?

If you are a Christian you are no longer required to keep a sabbath day..that was a work of the law...Christ is the Sabbath now..even the Lord of the Sabbath...many older folks just call Sunday their meeting day...this Sunday sabbath stuff is just silly...if we were required to keep a sabbath, it would be Saturday...or more correctly Friday evening to Saturday evening...the Hebrew day began at evening and ended the next evening
Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
work six days and take a day off...as YOU need it...doesn't have to be Saturday or Sunday..Christ gave us the liberty, by His Grace, to do so....
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

It clearly states in the Bible and by tradition that Saturday is the seventh day of the week. That is a Sabbath day. There are many Sabbath's.
The reason for gathering on Sunday is traditional and not by law or decree. Sunday was chosen in remembrance and honor of Christ's resurrection on that day. There is a Jewish law regarding the Sabbath. There is no law regarding Sunday. It is not wrong, but it is not law either. Christ freed us from many laws. Our only real law now is one of absolute love for our Saviour and for others. Sadly, that law is not always fulfilled. It is more important to love one another than it is to worry about Saturday or Sunday.

God created the sabbath day. He wanted it to be that day..who are we to go against His wishes if we say we love Him. It is also part of the Ten commandments and Jesus said "those who say they love me yet do not do my commandments are liars and the truth is not in them.
It seems to me that the sabbath has been made for an important reason..so have the commandments.
Oh the catholic church changed the sabbath from Saturday to Sunday..they figure they have the right since they claim the pope as the vicar of Christ..Christs representative on earth..in place of Christ. They changed other commandments as well..and they admit it.

In the Mosaic Law included a weekly Sabbath day, a number of additional specified days throughout each year, the seventh year, and the fiftieth year. The weekly Sabbath of the Jews, the seventh day of their calendar week, is from sunset on Friday until sunset on Saturday. Many professed Christians have traditionally kept Sunday as their day of rest and of worship; others have adhered to the day set aside on the Jewish calendar.
Christains are not obligated to keep a weekly sabbath.
.Rom. 10:4: “Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness.” (Sabbath keeping was a part of that Law. God used Christ to bring that Law to its end. Our having a righteous standing with God depends on faith in Christ, not on keeping a weekly sabbath.) (Also Galatians 4:9-11; Ephesians 2:13-16)

I do believe there is a biblical reason why we set Sunday aside. However I don't think it really matters to God what day you set aside. He says to keep the Sabbath Holy but the Sabbath has changed. Life has also changed a great deal. Go ahead and pick one day that you set aside to spend with God. I consider Sunday a work day as I do sooooo much in church. So I pick another day to set aside as dedicated to God. However church and fellowship is important so don't cut that out even if it isn't on your 'holy day'

Some will try to tell you differently but I have to agree with your first answerer. I can't believe I actually agree with an atheist on something but here it is. The sabbath is a time of worship and rest. You can do that any day of the week. I happen to work in a profession that requires me to work most Saturdays and Sundays...but I worship, praise every day...and rest on my day off.

In Jewish history the days started when the sun went down.
hence, on Friday evening when the sun went down the day changed to Saturday and the Sabbath began at that time.
According the Christian Greek Scriptures we are no longer under the laws of the Sabbath, but that doesn't keep people from observing it.
"But now that YOU have come to know God, or rather now that YOU have come to be known by God, how is it that YOU are turning back again to the weak and beggarly elementary things and want to slave for them over again? 10 YOU are scrupulously observing days and months and seasons and years. 11 I fear for YOU, that somehow I have toiled to no purpose respecting YOU." -Galatians 4:9-11

The original or Hebrew Sabbath is on Saturday as Sunday was the frist day of the week. The Christian Sabbath is on Sunday, as that was the day Christ was Resurrected. Christians celebrate the rebirth.
