Jehovah God does know everything. He can choose to know before it happens or in his wisdom allow things to take their course. In the case of the angel who became Satan and Devil,Jehovah gave him,as he did to all his intelligent creation, the gift of free will. The ability to make his own decisions and thereafter reap the consequences. It was Satan's wrongful desire to covet the worship that only belongs to God,and want it for himself that led to his rebellion and alienation from God.

When God created Satan He knew that Satan would sin and rebel against Him. But He still chose to create him because he followed the principle of free will. If God did not create Satan, seeing that he would rebel against Him that God would violate the principle of free will. Creating only good angels, and omitting the bad ones still violates God's free will principle. Stating this, it does not mean God create evil; God created a perfect angel who chose to be evil. God discovered evil in Satan, not created it. As to the argument about evil as a possible option when it never existed before .... It does not matter whether evil ever existed or not. The fact that evil never existed does not eliminate it as an option. The option was always there, it is just that no angel ever chose the option of evil. All angels chose the option of obeying God which is why perfection was preserved, but Satan was the first angel to go down the road of rebellion and thus evil entered the universe.

Yes- It was done on purpose. Jesus was the lamb slain from BEFORE the foundation of the world. Man was created in the image of God. His likeness takes desperation, growth, and obedience. See Rom 8
Satan will never surprise God or do something to hinder His plans. Satan knows Gods people are covered by the hedge.

God is all knowing. We can not know why He created Satan, who eventually rebelled and was cast out of Heaven. I believe that Satan had free will just the same as we do. That is, the free will to love God or not love Him. God doesn't create us to be puppets. He wants us to willfully love Him because of His love for us.

The concept of Satan is essentially a creation of man during the middle ages. There is a great deal of confusion on what the Bible stated about the serpent and what was created in the mind of the people by Milton's Paradise Lost. So much of what people think of Satan was created by other authors and other works than the Bible. The entire story of Satan being cast out of heaven due to a war amongst the angels has little or nothing to do with what is in the Bible; considered to be holy scripture among Christians.

I am not going to give you a scriptural answer because I don't think there is one...however, I will give you an opinion, if you promise to keep in mind that I am speaking only for myself and no other.
As I see it, God does not know what his creations will do specifically...including man. The prophecies that we see in the Bible and the fulfillment of those prophecies are perhaps because God is smart enough to understand our nature...therefore be able to accurately predict what is likely to happen when he chooses to intervene in the lives of mankind.
When he created Satan and the other angels, I would suggest that perhaps he created them with a great deal more power and ability than man has...probably nearly as much as He himself has.
It does not make sense to me that God would have created either the angels or us if he knew exactly how everything would turn sideways. The simple fact that he wanted to destroy ALL of mankind during the time of Noah is a good example of God realizing that giving us free will was not a good thing. Only Jesus saved mankind by speaking on Noah's behalf. I know that I may get into all sorts of trouble because my saying this is an admission that God is not perfect and all knowing...but that is the way I see Him and it makes me love Him all the more.

Yes God knew that someone such as Lucifer that was the most beautiful angel, controled music, light and air he wanted more he couldn't be content he wanted to be worshipped, so he decides to turn other angels against God so he could reign in his stead, God created him Satan has to come to God to ask him if he could test the faith of his people whom he created. God new exactly what he was doing when he allowed Lucifer to be the angel of music and light and air, He knew it was a matter of time before he would want to be the Supreme being, Because God made man a little higher than the angels and we weren't doing what we was suppose to do he got jealous and decided to try to control God's creation. It is all complicated but very simple. God wins the devil loses but we are in the middle of this war whose side are you on.

God knows everything. So he knew Lucifer would turn against him. God also wanted to create man and have a relationship with them. He then had to create a plan of salvation for mankind. There are other things that I feel happened but will not go into them for this answer.

No, Jehovah did not create the desire for his subject to rebel and turn against him like Satan did and Satan is responsible for planting those seeds of rebellion in Adam, Eve, and later 1/3 of Jehovah's Heavenly angles.
He created his intelligent creatures with free will. That means we have the right to choose.
Do we continue a faithful course and serve Jehovah or do we cave into the pressures and influences of Satan the Devil, or our own imperfect fleshly desires and sin against Jehovah.
A bible train consciences should keep us from all sin, but we are imperfect and regardless of how hard we try, we will sin in this imperfect state.
But isn't it nice to know, we have a helper, Jehovah's Holy Spirit as well as Jesus Christ, because he truly knows what it means to be human and can sympathy's with our weaknesses.

All of Jehovah's works r perfect; he is not the author of unrighteousness; so he did not create anyone wicked--
Deut 32:1;Ps 5:4. The 1 who became Satan was originally a perfect spirit son of God. When saying that the Devil "did not stand fast in the truth," Jesus indicated that @ 1 time that 1 was "in the truth"--John 8:44. But, as is true of all God's intelligent creatures, this spirit son was endowed w/ free will. He abused his freedom of choice, allowed feelings of self-importance to develop in his heart, began to crave worship that belonged only to God, and so enticed Adam & Eve to listen to him rather than to obey God. Thus by his course of action "he made himself Satan", which means "adversary"--James1:14,15
Satan def: opposer & Devil def: slanderer
