Imagine the benefits of a religion that can keep up with the times; one that can 'evolve' if you'll permit me to use such an expression. One that doesn't get bogged down with archaic principles that become obsolete once a certain level of knowledge has been attained. A religion that encourages and nurtures technological progress instead of fearing it.

Is such a thing possible?

Best quesion I've read in 6mths of being on Yahoo.

Be GRATEFUL your brain doesn't NEED religion - it can work on it's own.
unlike those pathetic people who have NEVER grown up and need something to tell them how to live and what to do, even if this involves killing.

I virtually died (due hospital negligence) in 2001.
No God experiences etc, BUT I do now know all that 'WHY are we here' stuff, and the answer does evolve.
Won't tell you because
- it's very simple but takes ages to explain
- deep in your mind every-one knows, I was lucky my brain had a rest time.
- it would be wrong to put my idea forward(1) at risk of making money which would be evil (2) making little ordinary me sound some-thing silly like most religion sounds silly.

Oh my idea, no KNOWLEDGE about life, you'll all find out one day. The knowledge makes me feel very happy to be an ordinary person.
Really , I'm not a total lunatic, I've had an upsetting life, lots of time to think and yes some days I am crazy so it's nice there are sane people like you.
THANKS 1,000,000

Well, God does not change and His words and rules do not change..it's just that todays christianity seem to want to change His words and teachings to suit themselves. Seems to me they, well meaning as they may be, will be in for a huge shock at the end of time.

Yes, it is a great shame. But I don't think that it is possible to create a religion that will change with the times.
