Often on here, or anywhere else in life, there are people insulting Joseph Smith. They insult him so much. They digrade and belittle him. What's your reaction to this. I've had people insult him to my face (Including a teacher i had for seventh grade english) and every time I just want to turn to them and say flat out, "Never, I repeat never, insult Joseph Smith Jr. the Prophet around me or anyone else again." What is your first thought and what do you do?

One poster theorized that intelligent design is as complex a theory as the big bang. I agree and submit that intelligent design may be even more complex because after science has gone down the rabbit trail of the big bang they are immersed in the reality of intelligent design. This is a kind of situation of not being able to see the forest for the trees. Should not science be as open to the theory of intelligent design as to any other theory to be intellectually honest? From human reason, can any philosophy within reason, stop short of explanation at the theory of the big bang and not go beyond theorizing that the complexities of the natural world defy theorems that offer only random chance and creation of everything from the building block of nothingness. Is mankind to be so shallow or is this as far as human reason can progress, only within our own intellect and not beyond to an infinite intelligence that theists call God.

Jesus in one of the gospels says the poor you will always have with you. What does this mean and if this is true how come there seems to be no poor among the churches I have been to. Does Jesus mean finaincally poor or ecomoninclly poor or does he mean poor in spririt and spriritually bankrupt or poor?

Back in the east coast where I am from there was always some who were poor but in the west coast where I moved to many are middle class and no poor in the church that I attend.

What is your opinion or take on this?

I know that in the book of James in the NT it says be quick to listen slow to speak and slow to anger. I want to cultivate or make my self more like this. I LOVE to talk and I admit I do talk too much, but my goal at my next care group is to listen much much much more than I talk.

I moved to a new area and I love meeting people and am very outgoing but I want to know also how to balance that out by also having an inner quiet spirirt. I am slowly meeting new friends but my care group is the only time I really get to voice my opinion and share about the Lord.

How do you find balance and godly harmony with what I listed above thank you in advance for posting and peace be with you and be blessed.

i don't think it was sex because sex is like our ultimate way of connecting and why would god not want us to beable to experience that?

i think it has something to do with knowledge and wonder.
i think when man started questioning things like reality it created negativity. but i have to wonder though what was the ultimate factor that brought this desire to know? i think adam wasn't keeping up his end of the bargain with eve then. or maybe he turned gay?

maybe what happened was god told them to keep masculinity and vanity completely seperate. and once adam began thinking he was pretty it created a resentment from eve. which could be the reason for all the negativity in the world today. adam was jealous of eve.

i dunno what do you think. do you think men should look in mirrors anymore?

Okay, I am now getting violation notices like candy.

What's interesting is I pose loaded trolling questions basically to be a smart aleck I get almost nothing (besides being called a jerk, which is just funny)

I've asked or stated;
1. I cheat on my wife
2. I want to deport my girlfriend.
3. I was arrested and want my wife to give my girlfriend bail $
4. I want to talk my girlfriend into having an abortion
5. I want to force hungry kids to get baptized if they want any food
6. I want to put my son up for adoption to the highest bidder.

etc etc etc .

With this, I barely get a notice.

Then, when I ask

1. Whether or not it's a little sketchy for people to push religious threats on to kids.
2. I state an opinion in a questions that the Pope has no right to determine "limbo"

I get bombed with notices.

Just cuz it mentions Mohammad doesn't make it the WRONG one, eh?!

all the other 4 are wrong too
each of them are different from each other in a very visible way

Like 4 religions but sharing a name >> Christianty

would it matter to add this to the list?
The more the merrier

btw all the originals are burned and torn apart (i saw it in the museum)

so "how" we're they able to re-write it again?
or should I say change it!

there's not one Christian in this world that memorizes the Bible from the cover to the cover

so I guess if we burned all the bibles in this world we would have a new one
the 6th gospel =o) (and even if there are a couple of them they would change it to suit them righ?)

no offensive answers please

I'm just seeking for a suitable answer

Thank you

A poster says that the natural origin of all things is the simpler answer rather than there being an intelligent design behind creation. I think that intelligent design, whatever that means, is the simpler explanation than the random chances of scientific theory. What says you?

Look,Earth Day is April 22. Hitler's birthday is the 20th. Columbine happened on the 19th. Passover and Easter are both in April. That's also when the snow melts. All those animals that died over the winter are now exposed to view. Now cross-reference that with Hitler, two holidays - both religious - a death-oriented snowmelting season, plus now this Earth Day. How does this all fit together? Who do THEY think they're fooling.? Ok, opinions may vary. Admittedly, these FACTS are - arguably - subject to "interpretation". But MY interpretation is, it's plain this "Earth Day" is nothing but an skinhead plot to trick the whole world into dancing around and celebrating - RIGHT AROUND THE TIME Hitler was born - in other words,we end up celebrating his birthday without even realizing it by the simple expedient of shifting it two days and calling it something else! And I mean, let's be honest the guy was a notorious treehugger, say what you will. EARTH DAY IS A NAZI TRICK! Arghh! Hitler! Earth Day!

I have been told over and over that God loves me. He loves everyone. But does he love anyone more than anyone else? Does he love sick child molesters the same amount that he loves faithful Christians? If so, what is the point in being faithful to God? What if the sick child molester accepted God into his heart and goes to church every Sunday? Do faithful Christians stand at the same level to God?
