P.S. I DO read my Bible, and these things are NOT in the Bible! Three important words in the non-LDS Christian language include "Bible", "Rapture", and"Trinity".

Yes, sola scriptura, the belief that you should not believe anything but what is in the Bible is not in the Bible. However, some things are implied.

Trinity-the word is not in the Bible but these three are The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Count them. The word rapture is not there either but meeting Jesus in the air in a twinkling of the eye is. The word rapture is a word given for this event. I do not have a clue what sola scriptora is. Do all non-theists sit around all day looking for a way to accuse Christians? Read the Bible for yourself. Then ask questions of Theists (Christians).

the rapture is in the bible but you would only know that if you read the last book of the bible. Hint: just cause the exact word is not in the bible does not mean its not in the bible.believers give the events in the bible names to give each event a title. Trinity is meantions throughout the entire bible yet it is not said as the trinity. ( father son and the spirit) example: John 1:1 In the begining was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.
Many more examples are in the bible but you need to read them with a religous person to fully understand our beliefs.
may God bless you and everyone you love!

The Trinity and the Rapture are absolutely scriptural, and the Bible points to these things. Check out the first set of links below.

The trinity is a term not found in the Bible, but God being a trinity is clearly evident from it.

IT says God is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). But you look at the baptism of Christ, and there are three distinct forms of God. 3 in 1, 1 in 3.
There are many other examples found in scripture as well.

I assume when u say rapture you are refferring to judgment day. Hebrews 9:27

Sola scriptura.. just do a internet search to find some verses for that one... I did

I dont know what you are talking about but the Trinity is in the Bible (John 1:1) And the rapture is in too (read Revelations) and I have no idea what sola scriptora is but so far, the things that you are saying that are not in the Bible are in fact in the Bible

please do your research (read the Bible) before you accuse

There is much to be gained from reading the bible for yourself.

If you do this, you will find that we use the word trinity to refer to the Father, the son and the Holy Ghost. It is much easier to say trinity than to refer to all three by name.
They are after all, one in the same, and you can read this for yourself right inside the bible. Look up the verse and the story that goes with it where Jesus Christ states point blank that he and the Father are ONE.

The word rapture again is a word we use instead of saying we will be caught up in the clouds to meet Jesus one day as he states in 1 Theselonians.

sola scriptora_ Again , look up in the bible the story of Not one piece of the bible will be changed, not one dot, not one tittle., Also, look up the warning to all who change the word of God to meet their own thoughts and desires.

Both of these stories and verses tell us that the bible is Gods word and does stand alone in its entirity and its truth.

As for the and other things, Again, read the bible for yourself, please do not rely on my writings or another persons to get your information. Read all of it, not just selected stories or verses. get the rest of the story, right from the source, not from others.

The idea of the trinity is all over the Bible.
EX: Peter says to Ananias in Acts 5 ,"You have lied to the Holy Spirit...you have not lied to man but to God".
"Let US create man in OUR image"Genesis 1.Collosians 1 says "God created ALL things through Jesus".
John 1 says "In the beginning was the WORD (Jesus) and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God.
Philippians says "Jesus thought it not robbery to be equal to God...."
Peter says "God raised Jesus from the dead" but Jesus said "I have the power to lay down my life and take it back again"...
As far as the Rapture..I Thessalonians 4 says ..the dead in Christ will rise first ,then we who are alive and left will be "caught up" to meet the Lord in the air...."
That phrase "caught up" is the Greek word 'harpazo' which means to be snatched, almost violently.Jerome when writing his 'Vulgate' translated that into Latin to the word 'Rapturos' so we have... "we who are alive and left will be "raptured up " to meet the Lord in the air..."
Talk about splitting hairs?! The exact word is not there but the meaning absolutely is.
Ever here both John and Moses say "Not to add to or take away "from scripture?
Hence, Sola Scripturas,Scriptures Only!
....and other things.

These concepts are in the Bible. We have picked various names to explain them.

Trinity - a triune God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
Rapture - a catching away of those who believe, just before the tribulation.

Sola Scriptora - Scripture alone.

because, in my experience of being born and raised Roman Catholic, a lot of them will believe whatever another Christian tells them, no matter the credibility (or lack thereof). They're also programmed to believe that if they DON'T believe these things that their faith isn't good enough and they will never make it to heaven.

My question is, why do so many Christians assume that they have the ability to judge us from God's perspective?
