Good for you, figuring out your beliefs and THEN picking a religion.

I am a Wiccan. We actually have a wide variety of beliefs, and variations of all of the following are completely acceptable.

Basic Wiccan concepts:

1. A Goddess and God as co-creators; polytheism is common but not required
2. A reverence for nature and belief that the divine is everywhere at all times
3. An acknowledgement of magick's existence.* Some Wiccans use magick, some don't feel the need
4. Celebration of full moons and eight solar holidays, also common but not required
5. A belief in peace, freedom and equality; most Wiccans are liberal
6. Acknowledgement that good and evil are not objective; that there is no absolute good or evil
7. Belief that freedom of religion is a basic human right

*I phrase it this way because magick as defined by Wicca (changing physical reality through thought and emotion) is a fact of quantum physics. Pseudointellectuals both atheist and Christian claim that "science" disproves magick, but they couldn't be more wrong. It has already been proven.

Communion is underrated, good luck finding like-minded folks. I'm not Wiccan or Christian or really any other religion either. But I have to give the Wiccans a nod, because I've found that the Wiccan practice always keeps one's mind pointed toward compassion and gratitude.

For me, I believe God is literally everything, and there is nothing that God is not. To say more would take an awful lot of explaining.

Edit: Have to throw in a note after seeing other responses. At first I disliked the ritual involved, but I slowly realized that it's actually a good thing. Ritual for it's own sake is not very helpful, but Wiccans tend to create their own rituals, which is extremely helpful. What better way of celebrating the Divine than injecting one's own, personal meaning into the practice?

I was pretty interested in it for a while, and still am, even though I'd never be able to get myself to believe in the wiccan beliefs. I'm an atheist--I have trouble believing in any sort of god, so it makes sense that I'd have trouble believing in magic. However appealing the idea may be.

I do occasionally pick up a book and pretend, though. Sometimes it's nice to try to put yourself in the shoes of another religion.

I am agnostic but I was a Wiccan for many years after I left christianity. I still hold the natural beliefs of the religion but I decided that agnosticism was more where my beliefs really lay.

Why? why cant we tell you about your present course? if you serve the wrong master then thats where you'll go, hell. As a believer, nobody with any amount of faith will stand back and say nothing!!! your life and any wiccan that wants "out" can cry out, for the only help you can get from this world of demons. That answer is Jesus!!!! at any level you think this is acceptable , you open the door for a lot of trouble. I dont bow my knee to fear, but ever knee will bow to the King of Kings and that includes Satan and his cohorts. Dont ask questions then say, answer them christians, but leave your thoughts out dont work that way. The real fear will begin when Jesus has cast The father of Lies in the pit and we wont be around to ask what our opinion is then.

Nope, I'm Asatru. But I do have respect for Wicca and there are a few similarities. They are both Pagan earth religions. They both apply magic in their practices. They both feature an element of reification (i.e., basis on a romanticized notion of the past).

I consider myself an animist these days, but I spent most of the 90s in Wicca. I'm not really one for rituals, but my philosophy is definitely kindred to Wiccan ideals.

It's interesting to me to study. I'm really not much into doing the ritual thing though.

No disrespect intended.
