someone wise pointed out a fact that if adma and eve had "disobediently" eaten something.. their reaction would be to cover their mouth or put their hands (if any left behind) behind their back...

but no! they cover their private parts... as depicted by drawings... so it was concluded thay adam and eve "disobediently" had sex...

but of course the church argues that they cover tehir private parts becuase after eating the "apple" of the tree of knowledge, they realise they were naked...

my question.. how does nudity relates to knowledge and shame??

so i rather think they had sex... against god's wish...

not saying that god forbid sex..
maybe it was not time for them to have sex but they did it against god's order...

The Bible says "the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil"......doesn't specify what particular fruit. Maybe something we never saw or heard....no one knows today. In any case, once eaten, they became aware of good & evil. Also, at the exact moment they ate, they disobeyed God & sin entered their lives for the first time. The glory that was around them , disappeared and they saw they were naked & became ashamed (now knowing it was wrong) & ran & hid in the bushes from God. Before all that happened, God's wonderful glory surrounded them & covered their nakedness. It's hard to imagine, but that's what the Bible says. Heaven will be like that too. It is full of God's glory & light.

Well at this point you will have 20 people telling you "it wasn't and apple!"

And, of course they would all be right as the Bible says it was Fruit.

What kind of fruit should not matter anyway.

People always miss the point on this anyway.......it was what that tree stood for that was important. It represented God's Sovereignty (or right to rule).

Adam and Eves' love should have moved them to obey and not take what was not theirs, but instead we inherited the only thing that they could pass one....sin and death.

The apple is from "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil," so in eating it, the knowledge of good and evil is gained.

"What's meant by the 'knowledge of good and evil'? Take your pick:

* Ethical discrimination, knowing right from wrong. One problem with this interpretation: if Adam and Eve had no knowledge of right and wrong before eating the fruit, how would they know disobedience was wrong?

* Knowledge of sex. The first thing Adam and Eve do after their snack is realize they're naked.

* Knowledge, period. In this view, 'good and evil' is an encompassing bookend phrase, like 'A to Z.' Having tasted of the tree, mankind wants to know everything.

In any event, the gist is clear: knowledge = the loss of innocence; ignorance = bliss."

It's often portrayed as an apple, but nobody knows what the fruit was. Some have speculated it was a fig (Jesus cursed a fig tree later on). I've also heard some arguments it was a banana, though I don't remember what the basis was for it.

The important thing is that your ancestor ate the fruit, and you are being punished for it.

Now, if the ancestor had been a little more recent, say your Grandmother, you might be bothered by that.

Imagine your Grandmother had committed murder. How would you feel if you were sentenced to death for it?

But of course that punishment would not be coming from someone who loves you. God Loves you, so it makes it okay.

It was an "apple" (some say Quince) from the tree of knowledge. Woman succumbed to the temptation of evil, and Man did not correct her mistake. Everyone has been paying for it since.

It wasn't an apple, it was a fruit, not sure what it was though.

But yeah, Eve ate the forbidden fruit and gave some to Adam, thus they sinned.

The Bible says it was fruit....doesn't say if it was an apple otherwise it happened just as it is stated in Genesis.

No mention of the type of fruit. However, I believe eating of the forbidden fuit is a metaphor. Whatever it was, they rebelled against God.
