I have heard varying answers to this question, and I always find it interesting, as it addresses the nature of what our state of existance will be like in heaven.

Will you be married in heaven? Will you have the same family that you have (or have had) here on Earth?

hi, just to give a quick answer;
Matthew 22:30 (New International Version)

30At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.

so, we will no longer be married, but in another bible verse, it says that we will still know there the people we know now on earth :)

hope this helps,

If you are married and sealed in the temple for all time and eternity by someone who holds the proper preisthood keys, then you have your eternal family. If not, I don't completely rule it out, I believe God will sort everything out when we get there if we are doing our best down here.
I am a single mother and I am not at the present time, able to have my two children sealed to me for all time and eternity because they say I need a husband and also if me and my future husband wanted to get the kids sealed to us, I would need permission from my sons birth fathers.
In situations like this where this is out of my hands, I know it's in Gods hands and he will take care of it.

You can still be married in Heaven, if you are united in eternal marriage by the proper authority and have your marriage sealed by the Holy Ghost and you keep the commandments as long as you do not commit murder.
Not only that, but we can be together forever with our family besides our spouse.

I know with all my heart that these things are true. I know that the Lord is my savior. I believe in Jesus Christ. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

What about loved ones in the afterlife? Although Matthew 22:30 indicates that earthly relationships like marriage will not be the same in heaven - we will definitely recognize those we knew on earth.

The story of Lazarus and the rich man, in Luke 16:20, shows we will still retain our identity and relationships in heaven. The rich man still remembered his siblings - and Lazarus, whom he knew on earth.

It depends if you mean the material heaven or the eternal spiritual heaven. You may if it is the material heaven but probably not in the eternal heaven being you are not this body IE race, color, nationality, religion, gender, job, etc. The eternal heaven has nothing to do with these material relationships.

Jesus was asked this question in a way here is his answer.
Matthew 22:29-31
29Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

The family is central to God's plan for our happiness not only in this life, but for Eternity. By obedience to His teachings, we can be with our families forever.

You will not be married to your earthly spouse, as there is no male, or female in heaven.

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
