I have been to may churches in my life and I have to say religious music thats in church seems pretty bad. Those hymns that are sung sound more like funeral music than anything. I think even if I was a believer I couldnt go to church because I couldnt stand to listen to the horrid music. I hear it on Sunday worships on TV as well. no one seems to sing real music. I mean seriously would you want to listen to that in your car or at home?
To me music is a wonderful thing and a great tool to tap into emotion, so what is the music style at your church? Is it ok with your church to tap into some more modern music themes or do you stick with the more traditonal hymns? And if your church is stuck with the old stuff anyone know why?

Do you fear change? It seems many on this board do. I see many saying not a single islamic country lets other faiths openly practice their beliefs. Yet when I posted a question about it and a link, those who said this acted cowardly and wouldn't even read it. What does that say about their faith and maturity? Not much, I would think. Just check the link. It contains numerous beautiful photographs of churches in Pakistan.

a kidnapped person if held hostage for long, would try to defent the kidnapper from police. This is kind of submissive attitude (psychology) to kidnapper. Islam seem to be a similar thing. I think muslims are so scared to go against quran that they start to defend its wrong ideals.

"I know where Im going" by the Judds during your gatherings.
Just thought the song would always be great in a church.
Maybe this is more of a suggestion rather than a question.

Prophet Mohammed (Bukhari, Muslim)

"I would rather live in America under Ashcroft and Bush at their worst, than in any “Islamic state” established by ignorant, intolerant and murderous punks like you and Mullah Omar at their best."

Morals I mean. Many people mock Christians for not meeting the standards of their religion.... Is that really a bad thing though? It just shows how much better Christianity is than the Christian. But what if a Christian was much better their religion? That would mean their religion is inept and low. I would rather have high moral standards and be a hypocrite than follow a religion with low standards and be praised for barely meeting them. At least this way I intend for perfection.

The reporting of the Pope's statement on Limbo makes me think that. I know several years ago we had an article in the religious section of our paper calling celibacy a doctrine of the church. The religious editor stood by the comment. Celibacy is not a doctrine of the church but a discipline. Being a religious editor someone said he should have known that whether he was Catholic or not.
How about comments on other faiths. Have you noticed lack of knowledge by the media on your faith

I was curious to hear from Messianic Jews what exactly the difference is between their faith and Christianity. Back in the day when I was still somewhat of a practicing Jew, I had a few run-ins with Jews for Jesus. Nothing any of them said ever convinced me that they were anything but Christians with a less threatening name to Jews. But considering that most of them were probably restricted to sales-pitch style speeches, I thought I'd ask for your experiences.

You only have one choice and even if you save the planet it woulnt mean it would save your soul.
And when I say save your soul meaning you go to heaven versus hell...so would you go to hell to save the planet?

Totally hypothetical question so nothing about "thats not how God works" and so on. It is one or the other.
