At a place in the Quran (I am sorry not to be able to mention its correct place now), that there are ones among the book's people (i.e. Jews and Christians), whose hearts tremble at the reading of the Holy Quran and who acknowledge, that it is from the Almighty God and that those people will not suffer. This means that some of the Jews and Christians have won the favor and care of Allah.
At another place in the Holy Quran it is said, that Allah will judge on the Resurrection Day among the Jews and Christians. This means that there is a possibility, that at least some of them will be saved.
Allah says that, if He willed, He would send a sign, which would turn the non-fidels to believers. So, everything is in accordance with his will. So, let there be Jews and Christians and Muslims, as Allah desires it to be.....

No it does not teach that.It teaches Islam is the only true religion and only members of Islam are Holy unto Allah. The rest of us are considered infidels and are not to be loved and respected. We are though to be converted or pay high taxes or be executed by the sword.
Muhammad teaches Adam and Eve were Muslim and up until Isaac was born everyone was Islam. We the infidels are descendants of Isaac while they the chosen ones are descendans of Ishmael Abrahams first born.
They are to wage war on the non believers and convert by the sword of necessary for the glory of Allah.
We are not even thought of as human in their eyes we are more than anything closer to swine in their opinion.
Check out this site for more information on how they view non believers.www.the religion of peace. com
or www. american congress for truth . com.

Both of these websites will answer any question you may have.

I'm not sure of the verse or Sura but yes Muslims are to treat Christians and Jews with respect. As for other religions I don't know.

You seem to have a special version of the Bible Dear. Let's see what mine says about people of other faith:

1) If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

2) Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

The Qur'an gives us completely freedom to be among people of other religions as long as they are not at war with Islam, and commands us to treat them not only with tolerance, but with kindness. This is expressed clearly in 60:8:

"God does not forbid you respecting those who made war upon you on account of religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely God loves the doers of justice."

They do teach respect.Muslims believe in God and it's the same God that Christians and Jews believe in.
The politics of the 3 are touchy so that's why it seems like each faith came from completely different worlds.

The Quran does say that. The teachings of Muhammad, however, say that infidels must be killed.
Kind of the same way the Catholic church justified the Crusades. By saying that nonbelievers were evil.
