a kidnapped person if held hostage for long, would try to defent the kidnapper from police. This is kind of submissive attitude (psychology) to kidnapper. Islam seem to be a similar thing. I think muslims are so scared to go against quran that they start to defend its wrong ideals.

It is because they are. If you leave Islam, the prescribed penalty is death. There are so many beliefs in Islam that go against what it is to be human that people do become hurt. It is not only Islam though that traps people. It is any religion. I am Christian and am not religious. However, there are people who follow the Christian religion (of which I am not a member) and they too are trapped. The thing is though that people allow themselves to be trapped. It is also not just religion that traps people. There are many other kinds of traps, from drugs to money to self-loathing to patriotism.

Extremist Muslums using the Koran as an excuse to harm others are no different than the Christian nut jobs that do the same thing. Mohammed has nothing to do with it, its the fact that its taken to the extreme.

You feel this way because you are not a Muslim. I am, and I certainly do not feel this way. I feel like Christian's are trapped from the truth by Jesus, protecting the fallacy of the Bible. I feel like Atheists are trapped by their egos, unwilling to accept that there really is something as great as God. That's just how the view of anyone who believes something that has no way of collecting enough proof to be definitively proven will go.

Your that insecure person who has lot of issues, stop preteding and stiring up or u will be reported, the fact is Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, i am a convert myself, i have read the koran, and noway it says anything about promoting voilence, infact Islam is against voience, promotes peace, tolerant, accept this and move on, people form all walks of life, wealhty, edcuated peace loving people are converting to ISLAM everyday, why? are they mad? NO they realise like myself know Islam has never been changed, Koran speaks of wisdom, peace, and love, ur that person who stirs up but is unsuccesful.

your opinion i respect that, i feel that muhammed pbuh doesnt oppress me in any way i fell that it is his actions that reease me and bring out the best in me. i kind caring man he should be a role model for all muslims. no one is afraid to go against islam or its teachings they would just change religon. it is very unfortunate you think this, may allh guide you to the straight path.

Tradition and arrogance have enslaved many. People have a hard time admitting they are wrong. And with the fear of death or reprisal by other muslims, you really have to feel sorry for the bondage they are in.
