I heard that they are dispensed back into the atmosphere and are used as energy again, since first law of thermodynamics says energy cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. So does that mean that every time I fart, I am farting some soul from a previous decade?

Body = Hardware
Soul = Customized Software
Spirit = Creator's original source-code operating system
Your hardware is gonna be decommissioned before long. Hopefully, you will use it well and not have a premature crash of the system.
What happens to your customized software depends on whether you are operating under the maker's warrantee, or violating the makers original source code. All source code violators will not be warranteed. But, the original source code and the customized application will be regenerated on eternal state hardware at a later time.
What you want to know is: What's gonna happen to the eternal-state hardware if I don't get the maker's source code fixed? Answer: it gets sent out to the destination of all pirated junk systems, because the master only wants the eternal state units configured with the right source code OS.

The "soul" has never been scientifically documented. People have tried, but have found nothing.
If you wish to believe in souls you simply have to accept that they don't manifest in any physically measurable way.
Your body runs on biochemical reactions. The energy in your body is converted to either some type of movement, production, or heat, where it is dissapated.
Once you die, these reactions cease.
What was left of the heat dissipates off into the surrounding environment.

it dies as well , just like the movement of the heart. the energy from the soul exists because the body lives. it is like a flame, no candle no flame.
