"I know where Im going" by the Judds during your gatherings.
Just thought the song would always be great in a church.
Maybe this is more of a suggestion rather than a question.

On second thought I do have a question. Why does most church music suck. I mean there are a lot of great songs out there that talk about God and Jesus, but mostly what I hear is really out of date...sounds like cats mourning rather than people celerbrating the love of god.

good point!
some of the old stuff is noice...but some of it is well......sounds like cats mourning! i love that!!! its just funny!

some of the oldies LOVE their traditional stuff and hate change. ther are some GREAT NEW hyms and songs out there that i believe should be in church!

some ppl say..i dont go to church coz its boring.....well, they are missing the point but if we had better music, prehaps they might consider going back, and maybe then finding out what its all about

hillsong and stuff like that is growing so fast coz ppl love the music! i love the music! why cant we use some of it in church?

(sigh)

you have an excellent point there! i ask myself that all the time! i sing in my church and i try to add more 'lively' music. people like it! but i cant put too much, coz some oldies dont like it! there is this lady who gives me dirty looks when i sing 'livlier'; hyms. its scary! LOL

yes, we should 'modernise' hurch a bit more if we want people to keep coming. sad but true...

anyways.... God Bless!
have a lovely day!

good one you for going to church!
as for yor song, sorry, i've never heard it before!

:-)

If they're going to sing that - they might as well sing Love Will Build a Bridge, Testify to Love - Also by the Judd's. And When I Get to Where I'm Going - by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton. Could list others but that's a start too.

It is a good song. I am sure there is some churches that sing it, at least for special music. Country music is not too popular in churches for some reason.

First God says make a joy full noise to him, and his presence inhabits the praise of his people, not everybody is Saline Dion and can sing great, but they worship the lord in song anyway and God loves them for it, and there is some more powerful stuff around from christian artist not necessarily church worship music which is for worshiping God not necessarily for listening to for your pleasure unless your pleasure is to worship him in spirit, I know mine is!
Here is some Very POWERFUL Christian Rock, enjoy!

Hmm...I've never heard this song....goes to google it.
Is it country gospel in style? If so, that's the reason my church doesn't do it. We have a more contemporary black gospel feel. (think Tye Tribbet, Kirk Franklin, Israel Houghton)

what do you mean by church music? do you mean gospel? or contemporary christian music? christian rock?

in my opinion, contemporary christian music (like amy grant, third day, michael w. smith, etc), gets on my nerves. it's really boring. but i love modern (?) gospel (i.e. kirk franklin, mary mary, israel and new breed, ty tribett, etc).
