I was curious to hear from Messianic Jews what exactly the difference is between their faith and Christianity. Back in the day when I was still somewhat of a practicing Jew, I had a few run-ins with Jews for Jesus. Nothing any of them said ever convinced me that they were anything but Christians with a less threatening name to Jews. But considering that most of them were probably restricted to sales-pitch style speeches, I thought I'd ask for your experiences.

I am not Jews for Jesus, but I consider myself the same as those Jews who were the first Christians...

I, in no way, compare myself to Paul/ Shaul, but I am much like him, I was raised in a Sephardic Jewish home...

The Sephardic Jews are a strict lot...

I had my encounter with the Messiah as I began researching about Him...it is a long story...

Paul/ Shaul was raised in a strict Jewish home as well.

I still retain much of my Sephardic upbringing. It is just that I believe in Jesus/ Yeshua as Messiah.

I really don't know what I am because I can be classified as Nazarene or even similar to the Essenes...I have heard of a new term, "Netzari"....But I just consider myself to be an ethnic Jew who believes that Jesus/ Yeshua is Messiah...

the difference is that christians are honest with themselves.

they really are nothing but christians deceptively pretending to be jewish, to prey on jews who are spiritually isolated and uneducated.

from what I have read they have very few theological differences with Protestant Christianity.

Most of it is a change in ritual to make it more "Jewish"

you know "rabbi" instead of "Reverend" or "Yeshua" instead of "Jesus"
