In the word god the bible 2Peter ch 2 1-3 states
But thee were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secetly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the lord who bought them on bring on themselves swift destruction
2 and many will follow their destructive ways, beacuse of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for all time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
This is talking about false prophets, This Joseph Smith all the way

like the loss of a loved one? I'm asking because I have prayed for others & I'd like to believe that there is something more than what we experience here.
I'm not a very religious person...but I do believe in something greater than just ourselves.

What gives you comfort when you experience loss?

It would have been almost impossible to successfully distribute a false story about Christ's miracles, His death, and His resurrection throughout the Roman Empire while thousands of His faithful followers & thousands of non-Christian observers of these events were still alive to dispute it. Furthermore, the evidence is overwhelming that the Greek originals of the Gospels & the New Testament Epistles were widely copied, distributed, & translated immediately into Hebrew, Syriac, Latin, Coptic, & other languages. These New Testament documents were treasured by the churches & read in their Sunday services within the first century.
If anyone wanted to introduce a false miracle, an imaginary event, or a theological deviant doctrine into the Gospels, they would have faced an almost impossible task. In order to successfully introduce a false statement, the forger would have to simultaneously forge &insert this counterfeit passage into every single manuscript copy of the Gospels ineverycountry

I know a lot of atheists who are understanding towards Christians. That's great! But most atheists that I have met insult and look down on Christians. Why can't you just accept our beliefs? Especially if you want us to accept your lack of them??

Does it scare the hell out of anyone that the people killed in the VT shooting may not knew Christ? It just really worries me that many or all of those people who died did not know Jesus when they died. They had no idea they were going to die. Some of them may not have believed in God, and others may have been pusing him off.

I only pray that God has mercy, but the Bible says God is a jealous God. Man this is really depressing.

What worries me is that victim's family and friends may have unforgivneess in their heart against the shooter, or even God himself, and that also is a deadly sin.

They have no sense of humour other than cruelty; they are loveless things; they are obviously prone to alcoholism and drug abuse. Admittedly, most are just poorly raised adolescents, perhaps sexually frustrated - but many show every clinical sign of being in love with death - s&m,etc. Isn't there anything we can do to help them?

Man has two exit points (No entry point) and women has two exit points and one is a combination entry/exit so this means homosexuality is a choice not a norm correct?

I don't like religion for this reason, I don't feel that it follows the teachings of Jesus.
A prophet who teaches peace & tolerance ...yet we fight using his name.

Does anyone else see the blatant contradiction here?

I prayed for a way to figure out how to pay my mortgage....and was led to information on tithing. I've been doing this for awhile now, and am finding that things are working out.... despite the fact that there is no way that I should be able to both tithe AND pay the mortgage. God is making it work.

Anyone have a great testimony?

16 Bishops of high rank removed the verse John 5:7 from Bible. Because this verse advocates the concept of trinity. They declared trinity a falsehood.

John 10-28-30 (Two gods)
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one. (Jesus + god= 2 gods)

John 17:21-22-23 (Fourteen gods)
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. (God + Jesus + 12 disciples=14 gods)

Whenever Pilate had a prisoner scouraged, he gave that prisoner a scroll stating that person paid the debit for the crime he committed. Have historians ever located that scroll that Pilate gave to Jesus (which He never touched or read)?

He is always supports you when you need Him, loves you more than anyone else and gives you everything you need.

If you trust Him even slightly, never ever doubt Him and His existence.

Christians are new creatures through the Holy Spirit, so I don't think we should accept that we are no different than a non Christian.

The following are questions that are on the minds of many Christians today. These are issues that have a lot to do with our faith, our perceptions about The Bible, and Church teaching. Where do you stand on these issues:

Pro Life or Pro Choice?

Ordination of women: for or against?

Euthanasia: for or against?

Ordination of homosexuals: for or against?

Same sex blessings/marriage: for or against?

Capital punishment: for or against?

Do modern day priests/ministers/clergy have the power to forgive/absolve your sins? Yes or No

Is there really a hell? Yes or No

Was Jesus' ressurection physical or metaphorical?

Thanks

And yes I have gone. And no, we don't evangelize. We simply show the love of Christ and when asked, state G-d as the reason for our charity.
