The Nazis made use of ancient Nordic mythology, but Adolf Hitler was a Christian.
Addressing the Reichstag in 1938, Hitler asserted that he was certain that he was acting on behalf of the Almighty God when he moved against the Jews.
Hitler came to power in 1933. The Nazis legislated prayer in schools. Like America's neocons today, they worked steadily to replace neutral judges with new ones they considered likely to rule in their favor.
The newly elected Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party were endorsed by both Catholic and Protestant leaders. But the most enthusiastic Christians supporting the Nazis were the "religious right" of Germany - the Evangelical Protestant fundamentalists. And the Nazis were happy to embrace the Evangelicals as part of their movement.
Pastor Martin Niemoller, as a Lutheran leader, ordered all the churches under his jurisdiction to read from the pulpit his letter telling them to welcome and support the Nazi regime and the Fuhrer..
But -- you say that Christians blame the world's ills on atheists. That is not correct. It is only a few wackos among the fundie fringe who talk that way.
Fundamentalism is only a small fringe of Protestantism, and Protestantism is a minority of worldwide Christianity. So the fundies do not speak for Christianity. It is a mistake to let them get away with pretending to speak for Christianity. Call them what they are, fundies or fundamentalists, not Christians.

Excuse me? Could you repeat that? Christians do not blame all the world's problems on atheists. They just try to get these people to accept the Truth before it's too late for them (Jesus will be coming back when we least expect it, and Christians want people like atheists to be ready). The world's problems are caused by humans in general, not just atheists; they're caused by the humans giving in to sin, which has been around since the beginning of the world; and every human being on earth is a sinner (the sins are forgiven when you accept Jesus Christ, and even then, you REALLY have to work to not sin or be tempted to sin). THere will be a "Final Solution" for non-believers, but not like what Hitler did to the Jews. This "final solution"is for the whole earth, when Jesus comes back. The ones who truly believe and have accepted Him will come with Him to heaven. The ones who have delayed and have not accepted or refuse to believe will be thrown into an entirely different place, where they will spend eternity in the lake of fire, devoid of any hope whatsoever. I'm not trying to scare anybody into believing; I'm just telling it as it is written in the Bible, which, by the way, is the only completely true book on earth.
And just in case you were wondering or haven't figured it out yet: yes, I am a Christian.

The Final Solution was elucidated on by Heinrich Himmler at the Posen Conference on October 6, 1943. The address was to all assembled leaders of the Reich. It appears to have been a private address as the word "private" is mentioned more than once. I got this off the Wikipedia page for "Final Solution."
Therefore, how anybody would know of any analogous Christian ethic, I'm not sure. It's either being said privately or those who know aren't likely to talk anyway.

despite the fact that nazi gravestones are marked by the Christian cross ( i used yahoo images + nazi soldier gravestones to find this out ), i cannot hold every Christian responsible for what happen 60 years ago. To paint all with the same brush is blatant stereotyping, and ignorant.

Hitler was an adherant to the occult. So was his upper level staff. Look at the symbols, runes, and ceremonies. Nothing Christian or Catholic about Nazis.

Oh stop. Christians do not blame the world's ills on atheists. It's sin that has the world looking the way it does, and it's in us all.

Hitler was a madman. He was said to have been like Christ, but that Christ was such a pitiful figure that Hitler was better. They were not Christians, that is for sure. Germany was their God.
