I prayed for a way to figure out how to pay my mortgage....and was led to information on tithing. I've been doing this for awhile now, and am finding that things are working out.... despite the fact that there is no way that I should be able to both tithe AND pay the mortgage. God is making it work.

Anyone have a great testimony?

Anna, as you continue to pay your tithes and be faithful to it. God will give you what is called the "blessing" in the book of Malachi. Remember He said I will pour you out a "blessing" that you will not have room to receive it. Well, I found out through paying your tithes God will give you a anointing of empowerment to be successful at whatever you need to do in God. I knew I had the "blessing" when I came out of debt. My truck notes were paid by unknown people. My light bill deposit was paid by unknown people. My house note for the month was waived. Those just some of the things which will happen when you get that anointing of empowerment. You bills will start to get paid supernaturally. And it came through tithing.

I don't, but my folks do.

Back when they first got married, they were DIRT POOR. They could barely afford enough of anything to scrape along. They didn't tithe because they felt that they needed all the money they could keep their hands on. I forget exactly how they started, but they started giving every week, and sure enough, things were only getting better and better.

25 1/2 years later, they're still blissfully married and have become so financially well off that they can afford a cleaning service, massive amounts of music equipment (my dad's a varitable musical force), and this Christmas we're all going on a tropical cruise.

Tithing's neat. *lol*

I started increasing my tithes and started supporting missions and at the beginning of this year I got a scholar ship for over 1000$ from nowhere. Thank God.

Only that I've been paying my tithe and the Lord provides even when I haven't had a job....and paying my faith promise...too....even money basically out of nowhere so I could pay my faith promise. God is Good.
