Whenever Pilate had a prisoner scouraged, he gave that prisoner a scroll stating that person paid the debit for the crime he committed. Have historians ever located that scroll that Pilate gave to Jesus (which He never touched or read)?
Would it be a valuable document today, at least for a museum?

It was never found in this case, although way back then there were many relics that the Church claimed were authentic, such as pieces of the cross, chalices, etc. But no scroll survives.

No scroll.

No crime committed.

Gospel According to Saint Matthew

Never heard of it. If there was one, yes, it would be extremely valuable.
