Christians are new creatures through the Holy Spirit, so I don't think we should accept that we are no different than a non Christian.

My point with the question is; the gospel when believed, causes us to be born again of the Holy Spirit. If we have this unholy modesty and think we are still the old person and are no different than a non believer, we deny our faith. I'm definitely not talking about being proud and looking down on anyone; I just think we should state what Jesus accomplished for us; we are new creatures. We live in the spirit and not in the flesh.

You are no different than me... you just believe in invisible beings and I don't.

Also, I've met many "true Christians" who are awful people... stealing, lying, cheating. I guess YOU'D say they aren't "true Christians" then... but who is to say they aren't? If everyone who says they are a "true Christian" isn't one, then there are NO true Christians.

I accept that for some people Christianity brings them true happiness, but the same can be said for other religions. It seems like you want people to tell you that your religion is better than others, and that isn't a good thing.

A true Christian definitely has a much, much greater love for Christ. But among other people, I don't think us Christians are any more loving.

Few people were saying that during the crusades... and few are saying it in Iraq & Afghanistan thanks to Bush and the Christians who supported him.
