There seems to be some disagreement just what a Mortal sin is. Would anyone care to list for me the mortal sins?
Oh and would you mind telling me if it is a mortal sin to be condemned to Hell by a Christian. And if so how many times? I think I am over the limit.

Well, i always wandered if it was possible that when i die, they
could throw me into the ocean, that way my body can visit other places, you might think this is stupid, but i think its a cool idea, i just want to be able to travel to places, dead or alive.

I am a Christian and after seeing the videos left behind I truly feel this "killer" was also a victim. In my heart of hearts I can see that he was possessed by demons. He talks of things that have never happened to him, he speaks of children he does not have and he blames his actions on Jesus Christ.

It is a scientific fact that Every beggining must have an end, so The world WILL end, weather it is a Biblical ending or some other form (Black hole, nuclear winter, super volcano ^_^)

So how many years do you think it will take before our earth finally dies?

10,
50,
100?
90010? ^_^

that he instigates unstable people to do all kinds of things every year about this time? I mean think about it --- the Oklahoma bombing, Wacco, Columbine, last year the Seattle shootings, this year Virginia Tech. It just seems that the list goes on and on but, specifically at this time of year. I think he really had great plans when Hitler was born on April 19th.

I am researching it and wondered if anyone has, as they may have some great links or some interesting input ?

It is a very interesting part of history, and a very painful thing for Catholics after killing 200,000 people yes women and children as well because of their beliefs

And that the Gnosticism Spiritual beliefs may have made more sense even more then what the Catholic Church had to offer in the Bible

I have been on disability for almost a year now.
I am tired all the time and hurt. Exercise has helped.
I can not afford my medications sometimes.
I am trying not to lose my home, a modest doublewide.
I will have to file bankrupcy.
I run out of money about this time each month.
I am not asking for hand outs.
Yes I believe and trust in God. My faith is strong, but the flesh is weak.
Where do I go for help?

I get STRS Disability. They tell me I am not eligible for medicare, medicaid, food stamps, HUD, social security.

I ask this here because I am on this forum the most and consider all of you my friends.

It seems to me that we cannot have a truly moral society while people are still motivated by an amoral worldview based on self-interest (the threat of punishment or hope of reward in an afterlife) rather than simply being decent as a matter of conscience. Is the decline of religion therefore an essential part of human development and progress?

My grandmother always had a bit of psychic ability and since I was a little girl I sometimes (like once or twice a year) have had dreams that come true. I always feel responsible for whatever happens in these dreams because I couldn't stop what happened or help. Now I've moved into a house right next to a cemetary and I have a constant dull headache and I have dreams almost every night about people standing at my bedside and talking to me. I hate this and I want it to stop, but all the books I've looked at about so-called psychic powers only tell you how to make them stronger. Is there any way to turn it off?

I'm thinking of the story of the flood (tho' Sodom and Gomorrah, and the ten plagues of Egypt fit this description well enough).

God doesn't like what he sees, so he kills. End of story.

Can't God flip a switch, snap his fingers or something and get what he wants. Should be as easy for him as channel surfing is for us, right?

So why does God stoop to blood-thirsty butchering of men, women, children, infants, pregnant women, etc?

And why would God stoop so low as to drown all the butterflies (save two of each kind)? What did butterflies ever do to contribute to the "evil" in the world?

Or roses, or deer, or cedar trees, or ... ?

does the love of Jesus shine through you?
are any of us so sinless that we can cast stones.
the only Christians that some see on here is us.
when we ask or answer question. does Jesus say AMEN, or shake his head?
I realize that when we see so much Hate on here that it is hard not to respond,
but shouldn't our response be to turn the other cheek?
I want Jesus to be proud of me, and try to deserve it.
and he was the one who said for us not the judge.
the only ones that Jesus judged when he was here, was the religious.

To a sweeping indictment of the entire religion or lack thereof. He was "nuts." To give whatever religious group he was part of any share of the guilt is gutless.

Three Israeli scientists have reported in the most recent issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science1 that Au. afarensis may not be our ancestor at all. It all hinges on the jaw of these creatures (pardon the pun). Alas, Au. afarensis has a lower jaw bone (mandible) that closely resembles that of a gorilla—not that of a human or even a chimp. The scientists conclude that this “cast[s] doubt on the role of Au. afarensis as a modern human ancestor.”

This should not come as a huge surprise, since even Donald Johanson, the discoverer of the first Au. afarensis “Lucy,” conceded that its V-shaped mandible was very ape-like, and certainly nothing like that of a human.2

I'm not Gay but I've been wondering about this for a while.
Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9.
if you read these verses, don't it seem that the bible is directing it to the sexual part of homosexuality. God had made marriage some part so they could repopulate, but what if a married couple never had sex. same as homosexual "married" couple, what if they never had sex and was only for the relationship?
Just a thought
