such as "Evolution is just a Theory", "There's no Separation of Church and State in the Constitution", "There are no transitional fossils", "Noah's Ark has been found", etc, etc, etc, shouldn't some sort of truth in advertising law be applied to them before they completely ruin the Country?

Of course that most religions are incoherent with science. But which one holds the *highest* degree of compatibility with the modern scientific discoveries, as compared to the others? Even if this degree is still very low. And why is that?

(please leave away the "none, all religions are stupid" answer, I am asking about *degrees* of probability)

Serious question...I am trying to understand.... people who believe and have faith in God, and believe in God's love and mercy...why are you so uptight about registering your guns, etc...or having stricter gun laws. Are you paranoid? Again, no offense intended, just curious.

I will say, I do not own a gun, and thankfully, have never been in the position that I needed one. Most people would say the same...according to statistics... I have read that a dog is the biggest deterrent to crime...so, I have a 125 lb. lab...I also stay physically fit, and could hopefully outrun any aggressor...unless he had a gun.

Honestly, if my life were threatened and I felt the only way to protect myself would be with a gun...I would investigate getting one....but, I have never come to that point in my life.

Have you gun owners had a bad experience, which has prompted the need for you to own a gun?

Don't you think its selfish not to praise Him!

In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise
In the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I am alone
When I am alone
When I am alone, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

When I come to die
When I come to die
When I come to die, give me Jesus

Give me Jesus,
Give me Jesus,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
You can have all this world,
But give me Jesus

I once overheared my relatives talking about that when Israel and Palestine make peace all hell will break loose. What does this mean? Does natural disasters and the promotion of gays and lesbians have anything to do with the final days? I'm really serious guys, please leave mature responses.... And please don't let my question offend anyone, I just want to know the truth behind this.

I mean to say most priests live very nice lives apart from the Carthusians. Jesus said to give up everyhing and"follow me". This does no mean following him and keeping all your riches. If the priests did that and got more involved wih their people ,surely people would feel less isolated from the church and be more tempted to embrace the life of christ because their priests would be living like Jesus instead of like kings. I'm not picking on the catholic church I am just concerned for its well being. I also think ordinary christians should not live in too much riches as it goes against Jesus. Remember Jesus' words?" IT is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle...". Jesus words should still be held with the same reverance today instead of being twisted to fit ones' desires, surely? I will appreciate your kind answers!

I am learning the ways of becoming a Wiccan. I do not know much of the information on them. I do know there's a God a.k.a "Father Sky" and a Goddess "Mother Nature" i know the 5 elements, Spirit, Fire, Water, Earth and Air. I know it is a Neo-Pagan religion. I know we do not believe in a Satan and this religion is not Satanic. I know that most spells work with your inner energy and the God and Goddess energy. I also know that many spells are like enchanted prayers. i wish to extend my knowledge. I am very limited due to my age. I am 15. Please no rude or stupid answers. i wish to extend my knowledge, please help.

Has anyone noticed the negativity that is spreading like wild fire!
The shootings in the virginia college
These floodings all over New Jersey and the death tolls associated with them all.

It seems if you add up every event, to date from just 10 years ago, you would have an interesting case for Gods Wrath, through natural disasters according to religious doctrine.....

And it doesn't matter what religion you adhere to, whats your opinion of this?

just there was a few months ago?

I am writing about the different denominations that go by the Holy Bible. Is comunicating these questions & answers helping us come to agreement & unity in the Christian Faith?

I find that I am agreeing with some Catholic answers & some (few) Jehovah Witness answers. So, I believe there are Christians born of God in these religions. Also, the 7th day Adventist have some things in it I agree with.

I am not writing about the religions that deny the redemption power of the cross or the power of the Holy Ghost. Though Jehovah Witnesses do in some of their teachings.

We outlaw other things that hurt people like abortion...

Who needs a semi-automatic weapon anyway? That really isn't very sporting...

And if you look at other developed countries with tougher gun laws, you see they have less crime.

Make the punishment severe and that would deter them from getting into the hands of criminals...also, make the owner of a gun responsible for crimes committed by his gun, unless it was properly locked and stowed away?

Your thoughts?

It is suspicious to me.

We know the early church was big on altering. They added this and eliminated that. What were they trying to hide?

Could it be they were trying to hide that Jesus was married and that he studied Buddhism? I believe both of those things.

As many have heard by now, a gunman of unknown motive went through Virginia Tech University and shot as many as 50 people...and they are counting as many as 30 (!) or more dead.

Can we, for a few moments at least, put aside our philosophical differences and offer our sympathy to the victims and their families?

Atheists instead keep advancing scientific research and such, it really does help humanity, by wasting resources cough Richard Dawkins cough, in trying to disprove God (impossible it is a negative) work on finding out the deeper secrets of our universe, work on advances in medicine to help us live longer and better in our "only" life.
