I agree. Do people realize that they are essentialy worshipping a man, not the Lord? All that kissing of rings and asking for his blessings makes me sick.

First of all Catholics do not claim that the Pope is a prophet, which would be required for him to be a "false prophet"
We follow the Pope because Jesus have him the keys to heaven and he has the power to bind and loose sin.
Do a read of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and list the things that Catholics REALLY believe that you find false.
Instead of just bashing something that you most likely do not understand. Maybe it is not your fault, maybe nobody has told you what we Catholics really believe.
At least by reading what we really believe, we can debate honest points instead of false generalities.
Peace be with you!

If you study all the popes throughout history, it is almost like a continuous circus.
Pope Victor forgot Christ's words to turn the other cheek and led his army into the combat field.
Some bought their position through what they called Simony--remember he tried to buy the Holy Spirit.
One rich pirate bought his position, John XXIII, and ladies were afraid to enter church because they might be dragged to his chamber. The troubled church elected a second pope in France--They cursed each other and calld their opposition Antichrist. But because they were "infallible", the first wouldn't resign. Another meeting elected a third pope--now what to do? Well they offered the two predecessors a luxurious pension and residence if they retired.
Some popes had their predecessers removed from their tomb, stripped of their vestments and title in a mock trial, then bones discarded. That pope might be dug exhumed and shamed, too; how easy fallable men succomb to temptation.
Let us not forget Pope Jude--a lady that fooled people as to her gender and got elected. Someone knew otherwise, because she got pregnant, and went into labor on a day she was scheduled for a papal procession in Rome. They stopped and delivered the baby--the disgusted people erected a statue of her on that very spot. It was still there when Luther visited Rome, but was later silently removed.
Jesus is the Head of the Church, and "Christ in you, the hope of glory" is our mechanism of salvation--His presence will enable you to obey the Law. Yes, and God expects fellowship each Sabbath, but let us not exalt failing man to the position Jesus occupies.
Blessings, One-Way

Everyone here needs to know CHAINSAW is a liar. In an answer to me he said that he was going to pray to Allah because I have blood on my hands for fighting in the war and because I am a Christian.
The guy is a hypocrite and just a plain old chicken**** coward. And I don't follow the Pope....I am a Mormon.

I don't think the Pope claims himself to be a prophet. Otherwise, he'd carry the title "prophet".

One can argue that any and all holy figures are false prophets, including JC, Mohamed(peace be upon him), and Moses. I'm extraordinarily doubtful about the reality of Abrahamic faiths. I suggest you adopt my skepticism.

I wouldn't call the Pope a false prophet. However, the Catholic Church does have many rituals and church dogma that isn't biblical such as the Pope being infallible. No one is infallible.
