gorgeous, it is good to hear from you dear one. from what I've gathered so far is that you appear to be a person who is not closed minded and seeks the truth of who Jesus was and is.
it is not suspicious to me dear seeker of the truth. if god gave you this marvelous gift of knowledge "18yrs that you need to believe in Jesus as the messiah " would you in fact accept that he lived an ordinary life until He turned 30? I think you would still be suspicious dear one.... like thomas you need more... i will pray that God will give you what you so desparately need ... did the early church alter the account of Jesus Christs life at all?... what would they gain? they gave their lives for for what they considered, by examination, as the truth. Jesus asked "who do men say that i am? I am glad you are open minded and will not only listen to divincci code enthusists.
gorgeous, if the accounts in holy scripture are false and Jesus is not who He and the early church claimed Him to be then you are not guilty of sin are you? yet if He was and is what He and others claimed Him to be that he was and is...the messiah then you are undone and need this Jesus the son of the living God to be your savior. If someone told you the source of your drinking water was polluted you would check it out wouldn't you? examine my source below and bless us with a response. take care friend.

2% of the population have no sexual feelings at all so there is a one in fifty chance that Jesus belonged to the 1% male asexuals. The connection of Jesus with Egypt is of great significance, no matter whether or not Jesus actually went to Egypt, the association is enough. Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Yoga, Gnosticism, and Neo-Platonism were all practiced in Egypt at this time, especially at Alexandria and Memphis. It is claimed that Jesus survived in the desert for forty nights and days without food or water. This is possible for someone in deep samadhi. The Quell 3 section of the Gospels contain fabulous stories taken straight from Buddhism, such as the three temptations of Buddha/Christ. Also Jesus like Buddha and Mahavira taught in parables, one of which, the talents, is Jain, others such as the Prodigal Son and the string of blind men are Buddhist. There are also other strange things in the Gospels, such as the young man with Jesus in the Garden when Jesus was arrested, the man at the well who led the apostles to the last supper, the last supper itself which, as the Dead Sea scrolls reveal, was a passover according to an alternative calender.

Dear "gorgeous", You know I love you, so please don't get mad at me for saying this. I don't consider that as suspicious. I agree with you that I did find that suspicious, until someone on this chat group pointed out that we (most folks) don't consider it suspicious that we know very little about the early years of Socrates, or Confucious, or Mohammad, or Sidhartha Buddha, or Bill Clinton, or Abraham Licoln, or George Washington .... on ad nausea.
I imagine most of the authors who wrote about Jesus, probably didn't know very much about his earlier years. However, there were scrolls about Jesus' childhood, but in 325AD the powers that be rejected these scrolls. (Maybe they right, cause some of those same scrolls were flawed in regards to both time frames, referenced other events, and the geography of the area. (For example would you believe a text book that said Chicago and Los Angeles were located in New York state, just 5 miles from New York City?)
PS: As you might know, I am a very weird Christian; I believe only the Exact words of Jesus (as confirmed in quadruplicate plus the non-Chrisian Historian, Josephus) - but I am glad you used the word "suspicious", I am very suspicious of all other Bible verses, especially the 1611 English Translation.
Basically, I am suspicious of any Bible verse that misses the theme of Jesus. Which is:
Harmony is harmony; disharmony is the only sin against God*.
* regardless of how you define God, or your neighbor, or yourself.
sorry for rambling.
edit: You are so right. Jesus actually taught many of the same principles of Confucious (in some cases the exact same words) and agnostics, and the Buddhists have often said "We love and respect your Christ , but not always the conduct of your Christians"

Books are lacking from the Bible and that i think this handed off on purpose. contained in the midsection a while and by using the Christian darkish a while, the only human beings copying the Bible to unfold around have been the clergymen and priests. in the event that they theory some thing wasn't very "God-like" they did away with it. Alteration have been made as properly, info is contained in the incontrovertible fact that there are various Bibles with particularly in yet differently phrased sections. Revelation 22:thirteen is written in yet differently in pretty much all Bibles. hence, it variety of feels logical that the Bible did incorporate those 18 years AT ONE factor IN historic past, yet at the instant are lost to us through fact of rewritings, removals, and differences contained in the Bible. probably, in those 18 years, Jesus did no longer relatively stay as much as being "God" and did some unsavory issues. The scribes of the Christian darkish a while did no longer like that and bumped off that part of his life. Christianity and the Bible are crammed with misinterpretations and outright lies. Truths have been stretched, lies have been advised. i've got not got self belief in God or any form of religion, i'm in basic terms pointing out info and my own evaluations and the conclusions I even have drawn from this info.

Here I am sitting in a restaurant full of people and each and every one of those people used the salt to spice up their food, but I didn't.
Point is, Does that seem suspicious to you?
Am I hiding something that I know and the rest of the customers don't know about?
I mean really, the fact that I didn't use salt on my food, I must be hiding something from the rest of the customers!!
Really!! Get a life!! And find some other way to try and demoralize the Christ man!!

Maybe no one knew who he was until he started his ministry. I'm sure he was just a normal carpenter up until he decided to Minister to everybody.
But I'm with you on the "altering".
The Bible was written and re-written for centuries.
It's highly probable that Jesus was married - he may have even had kids- I think the early church didn't want the "normal" folks to know too much about it because then they wouldn't have the control over the masses that they wanted to have.
Buddhism?- mMaybe
The basic teachings of Jesus are similar.
But the early church REALLY wouldn't want anybody to know that!!

well, I'll just say that it is somewhat suspicious.
on the other hand, the bible was written YEARS after his death so one is relying on memory.
of each of those who wrote a book, right?
perhaps the 18 "missing" years are the books rumored to be written by Mary Magdalen and others which were eliminated.
I am wondering why do you believe he studied Buddhism?

It probably wasn't as much that they were hiding things like that. It is more that they wanted to alter the bible to fit their own agendas. The church is a business. Anything that is bad for business is covered up or destroyed if possible. Anything that is good for business is incorporated or copied when possible.

Not at all Jesus went off on His ministry at 33yrs of age, before this He had nothing to say, if you read the Gospel you will find the answer that after the finding of Jesus in the temple He went back home with Mary and Joseph and was subject to them, so there was nothing out of the ordinary about their homelife that would attract anty attention.

No it isn't suspicious. His life was written about by people that met him. They did not begin to write about him until they met him. There is no conspiracy to hide writings that do not exist. People that believe in the Bible believe God preserved it supernaturally. Your argument to them is that God hid Jesus' life. It appears you want Jesus to be a married Buddhist and that you will believe anything that you decide to believe.
