I am learning the ways of becoming a Wiccan. I do not know much of the information on them. I do know there's a God a.k.a "Father Sky" and a Goddess "Mother Nature" i know the 5 elements, Spirit, Fire, Water, Earth and Air. I know it is a Neo-Pagan religion. I know we do not believe in a Satan and this religion is not Satanic. I know that most spells work with your inner energy and the God and Goddess energy. I also know that many spells are like enchanted prayers. i wish to extend my knowledge. I am very limited due to my age. I am 15. Please no rude or stupid answers. i wish to extend my knowledge, please help.

Hi,hon, and as we say in Wicca,Merry Meet!
Yeah, brass tacks time. I've been a Witch for 27 years.I've met many people in the Craft, well known, respectable authors and freaky shysters alike. We do not worship any entity known as Satan,Beelzebub,or any other deity in the Christian faith structure. These deities are Christian(or anti Christian) and we are not ANTI Christian;we simply are NOT Christian,as a Buddist,a Jew or a Muslim is not Christian. If you are only 15,I recommend that you do your homework. Why do you feel Wicca (properly pronounced "witch-a",it's an old pre English word that witch comes from) is the path for you? Do you want to improve your knowledge of yourself? Gain self respect and community responsibility? Learn to take responsibility for your own actions and take the karmic heat when you do something wrong? Then learn from the wrong you did and grow from it,becoming a better person for yourself, your community and the world at large? If so,Wicca can help you. So can Christianity,Taoism,Buddism, and any other faith that in its real, pure form embraces self growth (without fundementalist dogma crap). That means what Jesus actually SAID,not what people put in His mouth..
Do you seek more power in your life? More control over the people and things around you? The ability to change the lessons life throws you when you don't like what that lesson is? Don't look to Wicca. Look to Satanism.
This faith is about hard work, dedication to your self, your community, your elders, your future generations, your Deity, and your planet. It's about responsibilty for your actions and paying the deserved penalty(now, not in hell when you die) for the things you know were wrong, times three. It's 10 percent spellwork,25 percent prayer(not the same thing!!!!!)and the rest is sweat and studying!! Studying your self(psychology)nature(ecology) your environment and communlty(social sciences) the background of Wicca (history)the various deity forms(mythology) spellwork(a combo of english theory, poetry, sentance structure, astrology, astronomy, element structure, and several other things!):need" versus "want"(again, psychology),meditation, health of the body and how it affects the mind(health, psychology and yes, phys ed!)...
Tired yet?
Good. We ain't playin' here!
This is a real religion. It's not a way to win friends, influence people and get that bike-guy-job-revenge you want. We pray for guidance from our deity as we know it,we study,we volunteer in our communities(mandatory for my students!!!)and we work our jobs,go to school..live like regular folks. When your a real Witch,it's your life. It's not running around wearing black clothes with a bunch of cheesy black eyeliner smeared on that looks like crap anyway if it's not done right.(That's Goth and it's a lifestyle, not a faith.) It's not scaring folks with your pentacle, which I don't wear anyhow-it's not the only symbol we have, just the most popular. It's not using your "power" to get what you want.
It's about making yourself a better person and training yourself to make the best choices for all concerned with you.
Are you ready to do that? Because if you are, hurrah for you! You've taken a step toward responsiblity and maturity.
Now,if you're ready to study Wicca, fasten your seatbelt,....
cuz you're gonna be doing it FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. The lessons never end, honey. You never "know it all". You can't learn it all in a book, from a teacher or anywhere else. You can learn some, and that's great-but it's not all. Life and the Goddess and God teach you the rest, custom made for what you need to know. That's why we study everyhting else sooo hard-so we don't miss those custom made lessons when they come, and OH BOY do they come fast sometimes!
Sorry to get heavy on ya here, but you need to know these things. Some folks get in the wrong group and get screwed up by that group ,or they get discouraged by the work and quit. Or,they never find out about the work, feel they aren't getting what they needed, and quit. Or-it's just doesn't fit. That's ok. Choosing a faith is like choosing a man-it's gotta feel right and it takes work to make the relantionship last. And some men are tricky, abusive,or neglectful,so choose carefully. Get to know the guy or faith or group first. By the way,FYI-Sex Cannot Be Used To Pass On "Secret Knowledge" To You,(sorry;creepy,I know, but it's out there and totally manipulative and illegal, duh) and Pay No Money To A Group, unless it's a tuition type of thing for a curriculum!!!
That said, the best online school I know is Sacred Mists Online College. Thier curriculum is very well laid out and keeps your Deity options open. They have all kinds of help for you,and they are well respected and safe. Your underage,so they may not take you,but check them out anyway and see what you think-at least you'll know what to compare other stuff to.By the way-no responsible group will take you on til you're at least 16 and in some cases not til you're 18. Sorry-it's to protect them as well as you. There's also Circle Sanctuary-not a school, but a great source of info. They have a mag at your local Border's,too.Witchvox, also a good source of info, but give no personal info to anyone you don't have your P's meet first. Most folks are cool, but it's a public forum and you never know. Anyone gets fresh with you, report them-Wicthvox won't tolerate that stuff on their site
Whew! Sorry this is so long, but I had a lot to get out.You seem to have the beginner basic idea of Wicca down-this is the stuff you don't find in a book. Good luck,be careful,be smart, and if you fell weird or unsafe about anyone you meet-you're probably RIGHT!! So,do like Harry P. and GET DUMBLEDORE(your parents)involved!! Witches don't preach,we don't recruit,we don't look for members,so beware of anyone who approaches you for real or online.promising "witchy stuff". You seem like you have a great brain in your head-USE IT!!
Now, here are some great books to get you started. Good authors, well respected, the women I've met & are very cool chicks, the first two men have passed but thebooks are wonderfull.Lord Foxglove I haven't met,but I hear he's very decent.
"Solitary Witch" by Silver RavenWolf
"Essential Wicca" by Paul Tuitean and Estelle Daniels
Anything by Scott Cunningham, but esp. "Wicca , A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" and "Living Wicca"- -These two go together.
"Advancing the Witches Craft" by Lord Foxglove
Also cool is " Progressive Witchcraft" by Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone, very respected Elders in the Craft.
That should be enough to start with and should keep you busy for quite a while!
Best of luck!

The most important thing to know is that this is a personal path. This is not a path like many others where you need to just go long with what ever some book says .Or have others tell you what you need to believe and how -much of it is about you and taking responsibility for you and your life .It is also really important to read many books that don't have Witch or Wicca in the title. Learn about the earth, learn about energy, study history, learn to meditate, help animals and people
And always know that anyone who tells you that this is a wrong path or you are going to hell ,will do so out of their own problems with themselves and their own insecurities

Angel... first of all, I'm sorry but I have to say... you read as wonderfully intelligent. Okay, having gotten that out of the way... have you been to witchvox? There's a plethora of information there, and also there are lots of books and magazines out on the subjects. Have you checked out New Witch? they have a mag and a website. Also there's Pan Gaia and others to check out.

Either way, happy hunting... I wish you well! I'm ex-Wiccan myself, now a Buddhist with only shamanic tendencies, so I'm of no direct help to you but support.

Not all Wiccans worship the same Gods and Goddesses, although many believe that all Gods are aspects of one God and all Goddesses are aspects of one Goddess. The usual concept of the God and the Goddess in Wicca, at least as I've encountered them, is not of a "Father Sky" God but rather of a Horned God, Whose body is the plant and animal life of the earth:

http://www.themystica.com/mystica/articles/h/horned_god.html

And of the Great Mother, Whose body is the earth from which all live springs.

http://www.themystica.com/mystica/articles/g/goddess_1_intro_and_history.html

Wicca is a very complex faith which embraces widely varying practices and many different Traditions. The following, however, is what I consider to be "the basics".

Wicca is about 60 years old, with roots in Masonic practices, ceremonial magic, and the Romantic era's ideas of classical religions. Its founder was a British civil servant named Gerald Gardner.

http://www.geraldgardner.com/essays.php

It is in many ways a postmodern faith, embracing religious relativism, and one that resonates powerfully for increasing numbers of people.

The central tenet of the Wiccan religion is the Wiccan Rede: "If you harm none, do what you will." This is a deceptively simple "commandment" which can take a lifetime to contemplate and to master. Many Wiccans also believe in the Law of Threefold Return, sometimes called the Rule of Three: “Whatever you do, for good or ill, will come back upon you three times over.”

Wiccans honor Deity as both male and female, God and Goddess -- or at the very least as Goddess. Many Wiccans believe that the universe is the body of God/dess, and therefore that all things contain Divine energy and that the world itself is sacred. Some Wiccans are polytheists (many God/desses); others are duotheists (God and Goddess, of whom all other Gods and Goddesses are simply aspects); others are monotheists (God and Goddess Themselves are simply aspects of an unknowable Source).

Wiccans generally do not believe that God/dess is separate from the world; therefore, we have no concept of salvation, since God/dess is present to all and always. Many Wiccans believe that God/dess is too big to fit inside one religion -- all religions/spiritual paths are ways of reaching the same goal, and atheism and agnosticism are honorable perspectives on the mystery of life.

Each Wiccan operates as their own priest/ess. We do not have a distinction between clergy and laity. Therefore, each Wiccan is responsible for their own personal development and for forging their own relationship with God/dess. Some Wiccans practice in covens, which are generally initiatory and require a long period of study (traditionally a year and a day) before entering. Others practice in loosely affiliated groups of solitaries, which are Wiccans who practice outside of traditional coven structure. Others simply practice alone.

Wiccans do not usually have churches. We create sacred space as and where needed, by casting "circles" of energy which function as temples. When inside those circles, we invite the spirits of the four Platonic elements (air, fire, water, and earth) to join us, as well as the Goddess and the God (or at minimum the Goddess).

Wiccans have celebrations which are timed to both the solar and lunar calendars. The solar festivals -- held at the solstices, the equinoxes, and four points in between them -- are called sabbats.

http://paganwiccan.about.com/library/basics/blsabbats.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_of_the_year

The lunar holy days are called esbats, and are held at the full moon each month, and sometimes at the new moon as well.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esbat

Many Wiccans practice witchcraft, which we see as working with the Divine energy that permeates the world to bring about change. In accordance with the Wiccan Rede, the vast majority of Wiccans will not curse or perform magic to bring harm upon anyone else.

A relatively objective (non-Wiccan) set of articles on what Wiccans do and believe:

A good site by Wiccans:

And the US Army Chaplains Handbook excerpt on Wicca:

If you're looking to do some reading, I'd recommend "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham, and "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton. I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:

If you're under 18, you should follow the rules of your parents house.

You have been deceived by this false teaching. There is no "mother nature" there is only Father God. I speak the truth according to God's holy word. There is no truth, nor wisdom, nor power of any kind in what you are seeking to do. You are so young, I hate to see you believe in these lies. I don't mean to be harsh, but try and cast a spell on a tree or a person and see what doesn't happen. I pray that you will discover the truth in Jesus Christ and be saved, turning from these wicked ways. The society that you grew up in mocks God, Christ, and Christianity. It has made it into some cult of naive people and that has been deadly for all the world. It is no coincidence that since we've worked to remove God and Christ from our government, our schools, and our communities that events such as the school shooting today have become not only a reality but a more common problem. Know that it will only get worse as we continue our godless way of life, turning toward crystals, the earth, or our own intellect for guidance that can only come from our Creator in heaven.
