Love affair with guns? I don't know if I'd go
quite that far. You say that you think Christians are uptight about registering guns or having stricter gun laws? Are you a
freakin idiot? The last thing you ever want is for the government to take awayyour
right to bear arms. When all is said and done, at the end of the day you had better not ever be so stupid as to not know how you would protect your home in the event that you should need to (uh, home with your wife and children in it???)
I'm not talking about the end of the world or some conspiracy I secretly believe in - none of that BS; all i'm saying is that you should never assume everything is always gonna remain the same - what if suddenly you do feel a need for a gun - and have to wait already at least three days - but what if you could no longer buy one? Then what?
Whatcha gonna tell the wife and kids - "uh,
sorry - uh, my bad" ???
Hey, the dog is a good idea, but what if those who want in your house DO STILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS - your doggie is dead. Now what?
The right to keep and bear arms (or as we say in PA: the right to keep and arm bears)
is something you never want to give up; if
you do, you are handing over your final
right and all control to God only knows who.
Instead of being the man of your household, you are just the guy who says
"yes sir" to the guy at your door who does
have a gun. Guess what: HES THE MAN of your house.Dude, assuming you're a guy, I gotta tell you that I wouldn't feel real secure with you being my man. I'd have to go get a damn
gun myself because obviously in the case of an emergency, I'd have to defend myself.
I obviously couldn't count on you - what are
ya gonna do? Talk nice and serve tea?
No, I haven't had any bad experiences, and God willing I never will, but in the event of any situation that occurs, I am sure that my child is protected, with zero doubt. Thats our job as his parents.

I suppose part of the response should be... If I live in the land of the free, why can I not own a firearm of some type. There are laws to protect everyone out there. If I am not breaking any, why should I be persecuted for owning something I am trained to use, use safely, and have no particular inclination for going on a rampage with?
Christians can be 'gun-lovers' just like anyone else.
A similar question that would sound just as silly to you, perhaps, as banning firearms would be to me....
Let us outlaw Soda. It rots the teeth, serves no purpose other than to satisfy the taste buds of a person and, it is a deadly object. An unopened can could kill you. Surely...we must protect the population from can wielding criminals. Just because millions of soda drinkers have not killed doesn't mean we as a right thinking populous should not protect ourselves with laws that only infringe on the honest drinkers.
You can see how this can work for many other items, I hope...

Hello? Have you heard of gang violence or irrational school shootings like the one today in Blacksburg Va etc? People are evil and crazy these days and Christians are not the only ones calling for stricter gun laws or wanting to own a gun. If you felt the need to protect your wife, children, etc then after you've registered and learned how to use a gun properly then you have to do what you have to do. But please don't single Christians out like were the ring leaders of either side. We'd like to protect our loved ones also if it ever comes to that and we should not be blamed or ridiculed for it!

And your saying Muslims do no longer torture and kill others because of the fact of their faith, wow what form of hypocrite are you besides? the different element is that Christianity been around approximately six hundred years earlier Islam, and your Muslim acquaintances kill many Christians interior the call of their faith. the element is that Christians long sense honored God and the Saints and believed that Jesus is God. Than alongside got here Muslims and mentioned that Jesus substitute into an Idol that they've been Idol worshipers and that they did persecute Christians because of the fact of their faith. while the Christians mentioned sufficient substitute into sufficient and fought back unexpectedly we are the undesirable adult males? Jews would have seen Christians as being heretics and for a protracted time there have been stress between the two yet you Muslims are many situations extra brutal and violent while in comparison with what the Jews or the Christians had accomplished interior the previous.

Well, you obviously either don't know many Christians or you don't know much about guns. I am a Christian who used to enjoy quail and dove hunting. I don't believe that I need a gun for protection, but I think it is important to know how to use one if the need ever arises. Maybe if one of the students at Virginia Tech had had a gun, so many students would not have been murdered.

I am an Atheist, who owns a few guns. The reason that I own guns is for the purpose of putting food on my table.
My guess is that Christian's, who love hunting - would also own guns too.
Nothing wrong with owing a gun or guns, its what you do with them that counts. Moreover, all gun owners (male or female) should act responsibly in compliance with the gun laws from their own countries.

I'm prompted to own and carry a gun because it's necessary to protect my life. It is the most valuable thing I have. Without it all other things are useless.
Religion and the belief in the supernatural has caused the whole world to be quite insane.
I wish I didn't have to carry, Its heavy and uncomfortable, always poking me in the ribs.
It is the American way. Love it or leave it.

First off their are so many Christians and so i don't see any truth in your statement that Christians all want to own guns or w/e. I'm Christian and i personally do not know anyone who owns a gun or feels strongly that people should own guns. Your confusing Republican w/ Christian. Not to mention this only applies to the US.

To protect ourselves from godless sociopaths.
What is used in almost every crime, can be used as a deadly weapon, carries explosive compounds, can be bought with no questions asked and can be transported across state lines and international boundaries with little concern?
Answer: A car
I would not be surprised if the killer today, drove a car to the university.

I'm a Christian, and I don't own any guns. I have nothing against them, but I'm not comfortable with them. I do, however, own nearly a dozen swords. I'm pretty good with them, too. You should have seen me going through the house with one of them the night we came home to find our back door standing open and all our lights on (turned out my brother had been there and just FORGOT to close up).
