The most sordid place on Earth? The earth has some harsh environments, but none are sordid. Only humans can create sorididness, such as the detention center at Guantanamo, the US-sponsored torture centers located in Eastern Europe, or the "military" schools in the US that train all those death squads that sustain our dictator allies in Latin America and elsewhere. Those places are black holes of foulness and everything that is completely rotten in humanity. They should be opened to the public and everyone should be made to see and to learn about the horrors that human beings inflict on each other under the cover of such ideals as "those truths we hold self-evident." I would take as many reporters as I possibly could and a representative from every human rights organization around the world. The world needs to see this. Those in darkness need to know they have not been forgotten.

I'd take my husband and our 72 hour emergency kits (with all the usual survival stuff, plus homeopathic remedies, mini-scriptures/Book of Mormon, ID, journal, pens, and crystal wand/selenite ball, and cash).
