praising God and prayer is talking to God

Worship is used out of context most of the time. Worship is adoring a figure as; "God of all creation, the beginning and the end, no one or thing above him, and the one that allows your every breath too!"

Prayer, is focusing on the Spiritual side of getting in-tune with the Supreme Being, God. We pray to Jesus because he is the way to the Father.

We also worship Jesus as the Christ and Savior of all mankind.

The Holy Spirit in prayer is the Spiritual connection that feeds us good things and ways to handle hard things in life. We learn how to forgive others and love God.

The Spirit provides the knowledge to know and accept God's ever present love even when things do not go our way.

Some people do not accept this gift and choose to be self sufficient and are fooled by false, worldly things.

Many people erroneously believe worship means to grovel before deity as unworthy subjects. On the contrary, worship simply means to revere or hold in high regard or with respect. Prayer is a thanksgiving or reverent petition to deity. Most people use prayer as if deity was a magic genie. But I suppose asking for a new car is a reverent petition of some sorts. I've always looked at petitioning deity to be something a little more serious than trying to get material wants.

I agree with fireball. You can worship God by singing songs, raising your hand up and praising him, giving God the Glory, thanking him etc. My definition of prayer is talking to God through Jesus. People usually use prayer for Blessing and thanking him. I guess someone would be able to add to this.

worship is showing God how much you love Him... its more of a intimate thing with God, i mean, have you ever heard the very secualr phrase "they worship the ground you walk on?" does it sound more like this... "they love or adore the ground you walk on?" so simply put, worship is a love/intimacy ordeal with God. praise is something like the same thing, but its more of joy and thanksgiving. like when we at church, btw, im Apostolic (UPC), praise God, we usually dance, clap, sing, run, speak in tongues, etc... its an outward way of showing the joy of God in your life... im sure there is a better way to explain praise... anyway... prayer... prayer is when you talk to God, AND LISTEN. most ppl say hey ya know i pray every day, but do they listen to God? most dont... when you pray, your talking to God, a conversation. it cant be a one way thing to where you just tell God stuff and that be it. lets say someone calls you on the phone and starts talkin and you have no chance whatsoever to talk back and then they just hang up. would you call that a conversation? i think not. its the exact same thing with God... when you pray, listen. make it a conversation. its awesome talking to a Living God... and HEARING the Living God!!! if you have anymore questions my Instant Message thing is standingbythecross... just add me... anyone and ill try and help the best way i can!!! love yall and God bless!!!

Worship is the exultation of God. Praise, song or words to that effect. Prayer is communication between you and God. Always remember that communication is two sided, you talk then you listen. Prayer consist of talking to God then allowing God to speak to you through meditation.
