My understanding is that Jesus took on the sins of the world in the garden of Gethsemane which caused him to bleed from every pore of his body. If this is so - why was it necessary for him to die on the cross? Any biblical reference is appreciated.

I just saw an interesting question about the genuine interest in doing good.

I believe that when we do good, we do it also to God even if one does not believe in Him.

I believe that helping others is a pleasure even without God in the picture, and I believe it is the same for all of us.

My son and daughter came home from Catechism saying that the teacher informed them that if they go to church this Sunday, April 15, 2007, and silently confessed their sins, they would be forgiven without having to go to Confession with the priest. The teacher informed them that a pope in the 1930s had made this decree. I grew up Catholic and have never heard of this but would like to know more.

She is a kindhearted Roman Catholic lady. Someone is stalking her posts and deleting them. She got violation notices for saying she likes Pangel. I like Pangel too. I also like Freedom and i am tired of this censorship crap. We all know it is the Fundanazis that do it. It normally happens to the atheists but lately they seem to be attacking Catholics in this way as well. It is disgusting and pro-fascist. Censorship stinks. Freedom rules.

Don't they realise that there ARE sites they can go to that don't permit atheists?

We don't complain about believers being here.

There is nowhere in the guidlines that it suggests you need be a believer to post here.

I mean surely he would have known he was up against the supreme being and therefore to embark on such a venture would be futile. Also I really want to know why God in his infinite wisdom didnt put a stop to it instantly. I mean if I was God I would say" right this is gona end badly better to forgive Lucifier completley, put him in his place, to ensure the avoidance of the creation of evil. As an all loving God I could not bear to have one of my angels in everlasting suffering as it would seem so cruel to me. Better to use my power to put him right before things get out of hand."Also how could God have created a flaw in the creation of satan if he is so perfect - it would not be possible as all created angels would be sublime and not bad unless of course God wanted to create evil but why would he as he is pure goodness. Also if God had not allowed the battle and thus the creation of evil there would have been no original sin in eden and we'd all be ok now.
