(hi i'm a Christian who didn't do her laundry yet today);
This sounds like a sincere question, and I have a sincere answer for you:
I study in the original manuscripts, and although its not normally taught in the churches, the Scriptures do tell us exactly why we are here; this is what the manuscripts say on the subject:
(sorry must be wordy)
There are three (3) earth ages: one that was, the one now, and the one that will come after Christ (we call it "eternity").
You can read of the three earth ages in
2peter in your regular KJ Bible.
In the LAST earth age, satan was created to guard the throne that was reserved for Christ. He wanted to hold the "political" position of the Christ, so he (satan) started a great war. When this war was happening,
there were three groups, one of which you and I were a part of:
1st group: those of the 1/3 of our people who followed satan (called the dragon then).
2nd group: those who stayed neutral and didn't really care as long as it didn't affect them in any way (whats new, huh?)
3rd group: those who were stedfast and loyal, remaining on the side of God.

After Satan was defeated, a couple of things happened: first, satan was judged and condemned to death. Then, those who were of the 3rd group (the loyal ones) were named Gods "elect" and also judged: these
folks were judged and found justified by God, and are the only ones alive on the earth today who do not have free will. They don't need it - they already have shown God that they are on Gods side, so they have no decision to make in this age - they have made their decision already.
God wanted to be fair. He could have simply killed off those of the first group who followed satan, but what does it take to kill one of your own? That you love? So, instead, God destroyed that earth age, and decreed that He would bring in the second earth age (the one we are in now) and each soul would come thru one time, born of woman into the flesh, to make an ultimate decision of who they would follow. These
have free will so that they can make their
ultimate decision. The reason satan was condemned to death, but not executed is because there is not much use in being given free will, when you can only choose between good and good. Satan is still around because he is your comparitor.
You choose between good and evil; Satan
or Christ. Those of the 2nd group who stayed neutral did not make God happy at all; in fact, according to the manuscripts, God would have preferred they either be for or against Him, but they didn't care AT ALL.
These really made God very unhappy. I think, and its my own opinion, but I think thats why in Revelation you read of the last church of the 7 John writes messages to -
God hates the fact that they are lukewarm -
I think this is why he hates that so much, because of these neutral folks in the last age.
This earth age is literally one of choice;
the last earth age, the eternity is forever;
it is absolutely necessary to weed out any
bad so that we can live peacefully as we did right here on earth, before satan rebelled.
We do not want a repeat of this nonsense,
and I assure you, there will not be a repeat of it. If you look around, you will notice that each person on earth today really does fit one of the three groups: they are either already on the side of God, or they don't care, or they are against God. There's nothing new under the sun. People have not changed at all, we are just in a flesh body for a short period to make a decision.
This is the purpose for this flesh age.
When Christ returns, we all instantly change back into the spiritual body, and we will live right here on this same terafirma, which has not changed, just the age changed.
When you read in Genesis 1, what you are reading, according to the manuscripts, is NOT THE FIRST CREATION. It is a rejuvination of the earth to ready it for flesh habitation. It tells you to multiply and REplenish the earth, because it was already plenished once before. The earth sat dormant for eons and eons between the first earth age, and this age. All that Science that people debate over is nonsense - the science is true, and the account of God is also true. All that science happened between the earth ages.
Remember that a day with God is as a thousand years for man. The billions and billions of years that the earth sat was not
billions of years for those in the spiritual body - it was perhaps months of time only.
This is why in Genesis, God specifically tells us for example: "the evening and the morning were the first day", so that you would not be confused. He tells us that when he rejuvinated this earth, the time it took him to do that was in fact a twenty-four hour day as we know it, not the one thousand year period that is a day with God.
Everything is very clear in the Bible, its just that people are not taught the very foundation of truth they need in order for the rest of the Bible to make sense to them.
I can only pray that I didn't make you even more confused - i hope not. Now, this is
the reason we were created IN THE FLESH; The reason we were created as far as our souls go, is because God wanted
family, pure and simple. He created each soul for his pleasure - each of us even have our own fingerprints; God wanted someone exactly like you, and so you were created.
When you hear someone say that God already knows what choice you will make etc., thats not true. He does not. Free will to make that choice is really true free will. What God DOES know, is US, personally.
Just as you know what your mom might do given a certain situation, because you know her so well, its the same with God with regard to all of us. He certainly knows which group we were in during that war, and do you know what else? SATAN KNOWS, TOO. This is why when someone changes their life and wishes to serve God, they seem as if they have a bumpier ride in life than others - satan attacks someone who he knows is of the elect of God, because they defeated him in the last age, and they will be the ones, under Gods leadership of course, to defeat him in this age.
There is nothing new under the sun.

To such a question how could one be otherwise but serious. I once thought man that is mankind was put on this Earth for the sole purpose of procreation the preservation of the species. But now seeing as mankind has a head start on that game I see that man must have a higher purpose. I believe the purpose of man is to leave the Earth a better place than the way you found it. I hope that means more than just burying a dog turd. But if that is all it means to you so be it.

I think we will not fully understand the purposes for which we live until we have lived our lives. If we do things with purpose, then we can find our way. Do I feel fulfilled? Yes. Does that mean I think my life is over and I have found my purpose and it is done? NO! There is more than one purpose, and the things we do affect people we touch. The real purpose in life is to live it...as fully as we can, seeking purpose in the things we do.

My purpose in life is to live on God's green earth, because if it was not intended for be to be here then I wouldn't be. I believe that I should always try and stay positive not negative about life and continue to love & honor God as well as all of his beautiful creations and that I should always appriciate all of my fourth comings. It doesn't matter if they are good or bad.All of us learn new things about life each & every day for a reason. Being able to enjoy everything that God has created and has giving to all of us is what truly matters. God has given all of us the abilities to be able to create even more in life everyday so that our lives will continue to go on. We all should be greatful for being alive and on this earth. We should never question God's reasons for putting us on this earth. He knows what our true purpose is and we should be satisfied with his reasons.
God Bless!

My purpose in life is to be happy and live my life as I see fit despite the pressure from society to follow along like a mindless sheep.

I was created by my parents who had SEX.
They believed in planned parenthood and consciously chose to create new life because they wanted me.

We are here as beings as a response to nature itself. We are here to live life. Nothing more. There is no secret 'divine' purpose or reason for anything, there is simply nature, of which we are a part.

My purpose is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to anybody that will listen.

Revelation 4:11 states that we are created to please God. We exist at the pleasure of God, He having control of life and death.

Every person is created for a specific purpose, and it is through communion with God that we can accurately discover that purpose. most people go through their lives doing the wrong thing, which is why they are miserable and do not live as long as they should. In other words, they are 'out of position' all their lives. When a person discovers without a doubt what their proper position is and pursue it and STAY in that position, then they are productive and happy and healthy and live long.

Everyone has to spend some time searching for their proper position in life, but most never find it because they try to live life to the fullest without God. Jesus said "...without me ye can do nothing." Paul said, "I can do all things through Christ, which strengtheneth me."

God only knows our purpose in life. Let's take an invention for example.no one is aware of it yet but only the inventor of it. How can we tell its use, its purpose, if we not the one who created it? One thing we must know---Our purpose, our life doesn't start with ourselves, but with God.just like what I've told in the upper part of my answer.in an easy word,Our purpose in life is God's purpose.

We are here for God's pleasure and for His purposes. He created you the way that no one else is exactly like you. So no one else is capable of doing what He wants you to do.

This is only a temporary assignment. We are here to love and help each other out. We are never going to be totally happy here, but we find a true happiness in helping others. That helps us also to forget our own problems.

When you see the big picture,God's promises are kind. Out hearts are longing for heaven, and in heaven everything it will be perfect. : )

God wants us to choose character over comfrot. : )

The purpose of an individual's life is to do whatever he or she can to make this world a little more like the Kingdom of God.

"Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven"

How many people pray this, yet never do anything to make it happen?

We are here because our parents had sex. The reason why we were created is because when sperm meets egg, they tend to make new cells. There is no universal purpose to everything.

The only purpose to your life is that purpose you give it, yourself. As to my own life, I have too many purposes to list here, and they change daily.
