God is always in the picture when a person helps another, whether the person doing the helping believes in God or not.
God is love and anyone who loves his or her fellow man is responding to the call by God to love one another. Even those who consciously hate God are serving Him when they serve one created by Him.
I believe at the person's death, God will tell that person "I am the homeless person you gave food to. I am the sick friend you came to visit. I am the distressed friend you listened to. Now let me show my love for you by being with me in Heaven"

If you're an atheist, you do not feel that there's a God that exists that might have killed any individual. You did learn the complete Exodus tale, correct? But besides, Rameses II used to be the son of Seti, who decreed that all the firstborn of Israel a iteration earlier than have got to die, making an attempt to kill the deliverer who used to be foretold. Where's the outrage at him, or at Rameses, who made the identical assertion? Clearly, for God, the 10th time of telling Pharaoh to permit His persons pass used to be the attraction. Before that, God had no longer positioned some thing lifestyles-threatening at the persons of Egypt. The first plague became the Nile and all different water in Egypt to blood. Since they worshipped the Nile god, undoubtedly he might repair the waters! The 9th plague used to be utter darkness. After every plague, Pharaoh referred to as for Moses and requested him to wish to God that the plagues might quit. Moses did. But then, Pharaoh refused to permit the persons pass. I feel God used to be sensible adequate to understand that Pharaoh used to be under no circumstances going to liberate His persons. Egypt had enslaved, overwhelmed and killed 1000s and 1000s of Israelites, youngsters integrated. Apparently, God had stated, adequate is adequate. To nowadays, Egypt's former glory is its most effective declare to status. Tourism.

I think that when you help people, whether you feel like it or not, you are doing good.
But if you go around doing good works and are never recognized for it and you begin to sulk about it, you've lost "that lovin' feeling" that you need to have.
Also, I have seen people who feel unloved, so they surround themselves with those who are less fortunate and feel loved by them.
You just have to make sure your motives are in the right place. Plus, we're human, God doesn't expect us to get it right everytime.
God wants you to love Him above all else, if you do that you cannot go wrong.

As long as you realize that God's grace and belief in Christ is what starts you on the road, then doing good for others is a pleasant requirement. Just doing good in and of itself is not all that is required to enter the kingdom of God

Not being selfish by putting others ahead of your own needs is a high form of love.
Only GOD loved us higher by giving HIMSELF.

Jesus said if you do these things to the least of these my brothers ..you do it to me. Jesus gave us a new command to love one another. He said all will know if you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves. God sent Jesus to earth to reclaim mankind back to himself.
So yes, be kind and love one another for this is well pleasing to God.

I help others because it's the right thing to do. There's no other reason to do so nor should there ever be.
