when people speak about god, they say that he loves, he wants us to, he is angry, happy, sad. He saves, he condemns...he does human things.
Why an almighty and eternal entity should be limited by "human" emotions???

We all claim God is merciful, loving, caring, compassionate etc! We often say we are all Gods children. But how many of you out there would condemn your child to the pits of hell for all eternity! on the soul basis of not believing in him! Not having faith in him! Are we to blame for not being born to that religion? What have we done to not be born in that religion? If you say i was needed to be tested then y? Christians, Muslim and Jews, condemn all to hell who do not believe in Christ or Allah, is this the act of a compassionate lord? What satisfaction or knowledge does he attain from us going to hell? is he so arrogant that he needs us to believe in him in order to enter his abode? Why y do we only get one opportunity, is that fair? Is that merciful? If this was done to a person on earth would we accept this? Would this not be in violation of our human rights?

If you could hitch two other regulars together, who would the two be?

If you could pick a spokesperson for each religion, which regulars would they be for each religious category?

If you could pick two regulars to hold a surprise party for, who would they be?

Based on yahoo answer, the old yahoo news boards, and Christian chat rooms I believe that the newest religion is the "evangelical atheist".

They are worse than a Jehovah Witness or a Mormon when it comes spreading their religion. At least the JW and the Mormon don't tell you what it is that you believe and don't believe in like the evangelical atheist does.

Benedict XVI, in his first extended reflections on evolution published as pope, says that Darwin's theory cannot be finally proven and that science has unnecessarily narrowed humanity's view of creation....Yet his ENTIRE life is based on a theory that can NEVER be proven, GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Jesus Christ said that what you judge of others will be your sentence.
Matthew 7: 1Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2For with what judgment
ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it
shall be measured to you again.

After school board meetings where we voted down acknowledging creationism and I.D. I was spat on by a number of Christians. I was also spat on my Christians when I was escorting Planned Parenthood workers.

Now I’ve had disagreements with any number of people through out my life but it is only Christians that seem to need to resort to spitting.

Where is this taught?

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I AM the second coming of Christ, but I'm wondering what would make you not believe me if I told you I was?
If I memorized the Bible, I could tell you all about the experiences that I had, just as any minister/preacher could, so asking me my history wouldn't work.
Also, you couldn't say that you'd feel the "Holy Spirit" around me, because even the people in Christ's day didn't believe HIM. I could probably get 12 people to follow me around if I really tried hard to convince them.
And, PLEASE don't reply with a statement like "You're stupid" or "Go read your Bible".
I honestly mean this question, I really want to know how the people of God will know who Christ is this time around.
Also, I took the time to write out a question and explain myself, please have the decency to do the same for me; or, of course, I'm not going to listen to you. Don't tell me to go read my Bible, because obviously that didn't work the first time around. I'm asking YOU

I honestly feel that my body has been invaded by an evil spirit twice in the middle of night and both times were extremely frightening and traumatic to me. The two incidents occurred about 8 years apart from one another with the more recent one happening just a few days ago. I was lifted off my bed more than one foot and my body was shaking uncontrollably while a very strong wind was blowing through the room.

Does anyone know what I can put in my bedroom to ward off the evil spirits? I'm going to put a large cross up on the wall but is there something else I should be doing?

If someone ordered me not to eat a certain fruit and than I am cought in the act doing it; my first reaction would be to wipe my lips and cover my mouth! When Adam and Eve were caught in the act by God, eating fruit they were instructed not to eat; they DID NOT WIPE THEIR LIPS AND COVERED THEIR MOUTH! they covered a different part of ther Anatomy! WHY?

surely a perfect being would have experience to relate to ?
how can God be perfect if God has not experienced things in a physical sense ?
does this mean God was once physical ?
does this mean God is not perfect ?
does this mean we are more perfect than God ?
any thoughts ?

( and hey I believe in God but I can still question right ? )

With all the different religions and different spiritual beings, are just a select few right? What happens to those that grew up in different religions, cultures, regions, etc. Are they all wrong and you are right? What makes your religion superior to others?
Some cultures and regions have lack of info and knowledge, are they condemned to hell for lack of knowledge or not knowing better? Just like languages or the color of one's skin, how can you be prejudice of ones religion and still be morally right?

Several years ago I received a postcard from a member of the church that I attend each Sunday; The post-card said something like the following: "I have been designated to pray for you for the next two weeks; if you have any specific prayer requests please see me on Sunday". The following Sunday I went up to her and I said "Yes I do have a specific prayer request; will you please pray and ask God to bring me a Wife". When she heard my requests she put both hands on her cheeks and said, "Oh My God! I Can't Handle This; No! Not Me! Ask Someone Else!". She walked away! I was profoundly dissappointed by her response. I sincerely believe that I was making a practical requests; she responded like my requests was coming from "Left Field", What is your explaination of this incident?

Why did God Allow Sin to enter the world if he hates it?
Why did God make us imperfect, and then tell us we all fall short of the glory of God because of sin and stuff? He made us like that. It doesn't make sense. If we fall short why didn't he make us perfect? I mean I know Adam took the fruit, but he made Adam. being omnipotent don't you think he would have noticed that Adam and Eve weren't quite right? Why did God create Satan if he knew what was going to happen? Why does God create murders, molestors, evil-doers if he already knows they are going to be evil? I also think God is unfair for all that pre-destination stuff. Was he bored? Was he lonely? I still don't know.
I know that religion is taken withing logic or reasoning. it's simply by faith, but i just wanna know. by the way FREE WILL doesn't count! If free will were to be true, than God would be either labeled as imperfect or immoral.

he will not accept a human death to cure a disease like cancer or Aids. There are perfectly healthy people in this world who would readily give up their lives for the cure or eradication of these afflictions. Yet god will not accept these terms.

He will bask in the blood of a supposedly innocent man to revoke an imaginary stigma that he himself created, but will not accept a personal sacrifice to cure the world of but one ill... Why on earth would you call that "god?"
