How do you suppose you are a child of God when you blaspheme Him and condemn Him to justify yourself?
Please read the 8th chapter of John's Gospel some time. It may clear up some misunderstandings you have about who is and who is not a child of God.
Also, God does not damn anyone for not believing. A person is damned for their sins.
God has provided a remedy which is received through faith. If you refuse the remedy, you alone will pay the consequences.

Please dont get that notion that people who are sentenced to Hell are being dragged down there screaming for mercy. That is not true. A person in Hell is in Hell because he has totally rejected God and has been some sort of an @$$**** to the people he's been with while on Earth. If you want God's mercy then it will be given to you as long as you are truly sorry.
But a person in Hell is not sorry at ALL for anything wrong he's done and will never admit it.
Plus to be in Hell or Heaven, you have to be deserving of that place. As an all fair being, if you were for example a terribly cruel person, you will probably get a punishment that equates what you did. Or if you were a goody goody nice person who was generous to everyone and loves even his enemies, then you will get a reward that equates what you did, wheras some guy who sits in front of the TV and did nothing might probably get something less.
And even if you do not believe in God, please DONT get the idea that you AUTOMATICALLY go to Hell. You could go there, off course. But as an all fair being, He has the final say.

First of all God is a loving compassionate God. We can not know the mind of God so it is hard to answer this question, but Christianity is all about loving one another and having faith in God and even though someone might not be in the christian religion we are supposed to love everyone, regardless of our faith. that is the whole basis of christianity. this going for other religions too. God is not arrogant, we just have to have faith and walk down the right path. We get many oppurtunities in life. Where in the bible does it say we only have one chance for life with God. God is merciful. He is merciful because of the small wonders and miracles he provides us with every day. And furthermore, God could voilate the human rights anytime because those rights are born from the flesh of sinners being all of us. The good part is that we can repent for those sins.

The answer is very simple, everything you have said about different people of different faiths condemning those who do not think as they do HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE THE DAWNING OF MANKIND. The operative word here is PEOPLE. People are doing all of these things, not G-d. All you have mentioned are what PEOPLE interpret or want others to believe. To date, the only person G-d has ever appeared to is Moses, and well, he's not taking any phone calls at this time. God isn't violating anyone's human rights, PEOPLE are. Hopefully this information is helpful and allows you to be able to go out and look up at the sky without being angry. Cheers.

OK.. Chill! relax..children will not be going to hell. IF there is a god (and it has not found me yet!), it would have put us on this Earth as a challenge to solve the problems of disease famine and wars etc (which I say is doable!).It did however promise an 'afterlife' of eternal bliss etc, so I would not get too obsessed with Earthly suffering. Bit like goin 2 a slash an gore movie- YOU come out unscathed at the end. So if you belong to one of the world's great monotheistic religions..be of cheer..no fears frm dis vale o' tears ..this life is only a rehearsal for the hereafter. Oh and could u end it soon pls?.. us atheists are wanting to get peace to do our own thing!..God bless!(whoever it may be!)

Exactly! Great rant! I've had a few of those myself today. :-)
There are some here who believe and do not condemn others to some sort of fictional hell for not believing. They are obvious and well-read. David M., Last Ent Wife, Uncle Wayne (I have a crush on Uncle Wayne. Shhhh. Don't tell him. His wife will get all revved up. What she doesn't realize is that I have a crush on her too;), Proud Muslimah, just to name a few. As for those who do condemn us all to the fiery pits of hell, they are most often the same people who report those that do not think as they do. Their God is a vengeful and wrathful one, however much they try to sugercoat him or say it's Satan that will send us all to Hell. Who do they think created Satan? God. And why do they believe God is all-loving and omnipotent if he allows Satan to send them to hell (which is a crock) or, as many believe, judge them at some Rapture that sounds more like a Torture and THEN send them on over to Satan? This God and his followers are no more merciful than the town pedophile. And just as dangerous to our children and ourselves.

First of all if we were all Gods children...we would have all been GODs..please use logic..
anyways, second the reason Allah is the most merciful loving God..he has promised the muslims..that no matter how bad our sins are...and if we seek for forgiveness he will forgive us..make us like the day we were born ..without any sins..and put us into heaven...ONLY the most merciful one is capable of doing that..we do not get one opourtunity every time u sin and seek forgiveness...you r forgiven and that is the promise he has made with his people..

The very fact you can rant on about Him in such disrespect shows He is merciful. Like someone said, God is Deity. Think about it. He created......well, EVERYTHING. As a matter of fact if we were in the old testament days, you (and me, too) would have probably been zapped by now. But, because the Father is loving and merciful, He has allowed all of us a door of opportunity to come to Him for forgiveness in repentance before we are judged. We have only to approach Him with the right heart and He promises to forgive us and take us to Himself forever adopting us as His child. I did that and I'm so thankful for the opportunity. I can never repay Him for His compassion towards me. He has changed my life forever. The tragic thing is that no one (not even His Son, Jesus) knows how long we will be in this age of grace & mercy. As soon as He sends Jesus back, our time is up. He doesn't have to give us this time to come to Him......In fact, He already knows what you will do.....but, in His compassion He has allowed us all more time. Won't you consider asking God to show you Who He really is so you can know once and for all? I pray you will. May God show you how much He loves you.

You ask many poignant questions. Some question G-d's mercy, some have hope that He is merciful, some feel strongly they know He is.
I guess I fall into a combo "hope strongly" category, if that's not being wishy-washy. I follow judaism, which believes that G-d recreates all of existence every moment. So to me, a G-d that would do this - and continue to do this - must be merciful, otherwise why would He bother?

Merciful GOD, Yes, he is. Remember HE is not just merciful GOD. HE is also JUSTLY GOD. Yes, it is not your doing to be born into wrong family. However, there is a reason why you were born in that family. What ever that might be, you have to find it. To condemn people who do not believe in HIM is JUST. GOD is HOLLY and HE can not accept sin. This is who HE is, HE IS HOLLY. He is not arrogant, HE is HOLLY. We did not get only one opportunity. You are wrong regarding having one opportunity. He gives us several opportunity. Every time you committed sin and not follow HIM. HE did not KILL you. HE is still give time to ask for forgiveness. You are still alive are you. Despite of your wrong doing. HE still let you LIVE. If we had only ONE opportunity, we all be dead now. HE DID NOT NEED TO SACRIFICE HIS ONLY SON, JESUS CHRIST, TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR ALL THE SINS OF THE WORLD. How about that 2nd opportunity and MERCIFUL AND COMPASSION GOD.
There is only ONE WAY my friend. HIS WAY.
