I have almost 2 dozen kitsune in my home and while I respect and feed them, I often wonder if I did the right thing in removing them from Japan.

Expanding this image, if I worship Isis, Mithras, or Thor in America, am I *truly* worshiping that deity, or my mental image of it? I can't sacrifice a ram to Zeus, is it fair to sacrifice something less?

I think the Gods are above little mortal concerns like physical locale. They are not limited in that way, existing on a different plane as they are. As for sacrifices, a sacrifice is anything that you give up to show your devotion. It can be as small as a coin or as grand as sacrificing a ram. The intent behind it is what counts.

personally, I think that worship itself is a form of mental slavery, unless it is to worship a concept such as compassion, or freedom, or wisdom... A deity is what you make it, if you think it big, to you it'll be big.. In the long run, these gods won't make you happy, only you can do that, so it's almost pointless to worship in the first place.. Remember, I could say that my car is a god and feed it oil, and "It" allows me to drive it. but that superstition is only in my mind, and the mind is where happiness is to be found..

You can believe anything you want and its your decision no one else to make up your mind. You can only judged what is right and wrong within yourself

What's not fair is worshipping a god that doesn't exist while the real God deserves your adoration.
