Christians condemn others because it's the only course of action they know of to defend their ideas or beliefs. If someone damns me to hell, I'd go, never been before, and they probably haven't either, though of course hell is just a mental idea, and ones mental state determines whether they are in a hell or not. A burning fire is not a hell, unless your mind chooses to think it.. Luckily, the only person that can condemn someone is themself, on the choices they make, and their repercussions... Most hardcore christians are opposed to other ideas, because they think it collides with and threatens theirs own beliefs. Thus is the negative power of attachment, clinging to their beliefs as correct, so if theirs are right, then all others must be wrong. Basically, I've found the truth, which means everyone elses must be false, is what they're saying.. Once again, all in the mind... Just remember though, its kind of a paradox, but christians who are able to condemn one person, are obviously unstable mentally, meaning that their mind is a hell already.... lol, hope this helps

I don't understand it either, and as a Christian it frustrates me because that's what keeps people from Christianity (among other things)*
God says, "Judge not..." okay so, so far I'm guessing that means, hmm, I don't know....DON'T JUDGE?!?!
"...Least ye be judged." And from that I understand...unless you want to be judged also, because God knows that being a hypocrite is not Christ-like!!! (And isn't that the whole point of being a Christian, guys)? So I guess if you put the two parts of that verse together, you get, "don't judge unless you want to be judged for the same thing": 'cause God knows we've all committed the same sins we condemn others of everyday*
Mr. HuffyB, I don't know why some Christians do that, but please know that it's not all of us. AND, don't let those people keep you from your journey with the Lord.
My mom always said that just cause someone says they're a Christian doesn't mean they are. You have to be able to put that person's actions with their claim, ya know?

Why is that the one and only Bible verse that unbelievers ever quote? You never hear an unsaved person say " You know, God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It is ALWAYS "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
That is funny, I think.
Hear this : It is not me that condemns people to hell, but the Word of God that is found in the Holy Scriptures.
Jesus is very clear on those things that bring about damnation, and those things that bring about eternal life. Read it for yourself. You will see that the Word judges, and judges rightly. The Word of God is a sword that divides asunder, unto the parting of body from soul. God knows even the intent of the heart of a man. There is nothing that is hidden that shall not be revealed.
These things are truth, and they are Biblical.
Have a blessed day.

I am a Christian, I try my best not to pass judgement on others. I feel I have no right to judge anybody, only God can judge us. I suppose those "Christians" who condemn others to hell have no idea what they're doing and well aren't true Christians. It is in our religion to love and help each other not judge and condemn. Construction over destruction.

Jesus said all Judgment is given to the Son.....
No one has the right to voice their opion of what God will do
With what Judgment you make the same will be Judged back to you
That kind of Judgment should not be on Y&A!
We have a right to our opions and we should use wisdom in voicing it
Blessings!

I agree it is wrong to judge or condem others as christians, we are supposed to speak truth not attack people for what they are doing. I think alot of people just have not tact, and really don't know how to minister to someone without being judgmental. There is not one person alive who hasn't sinned. God is the judge of mankind not his servant.

If people ask me about Heaven or Hell I just tell them what my Christian faith says about these places. I hope no one goes to Hell and I feel no pleasure in speaking about it to anyone. Some folks who laugh and mock Christ need to understand that they do so at a high price. I call it a warning not judgement.

If you go on it says It is better to have mercy for others than judgement. It also says to only judg those among you who call you brother in Christ but openly sins against God's laws. We are to cast them from among us for them to see the error of their ways and repent and then we are to take them back in as brothers. Some people are short minded to the mercy they once received. Their is also yeast in men that have truth in them.
