We all fall into a rut sometimes.
Start anew; go to church on Sunday, for one thing. Read a little bit of the Bible every night before bed, or alternate between reading and praying. Or don't read the Bible at all; in all honesty you don't have to. Whenever you sin, you need to admit that you have, and why.
Also; don't beat yourself up over failed attempts. Like I said, everyone (well, many people, that is) has off days, weeks, months, even years.

Try to stay with people who believe in the same type of things that you do .If you know you will be tempted by say a movie,or a dance by the company you keep, by drink, smoking ,sex etc. don't go.You can go to activities but do so with people who you know won't lead you astray. As far as it being archaic, it all is a matter of what you believe. I don't think it is at all.I have a 30 mile commute to work one way and have the Bible on tape and on Disc I listen to it on the way to work and on the way home. You would be amazed at how it helps calm me before and after a very stressful shift.I work as a charge nurse and it helps me.I see death and dying every day.I can help people in the transition between and it helps them and me and those around because helps family, staff and the patient.Sometimes there is no family and they have a strong faith and it does help .
May God help you on your path friend, pray for strength and wisdom for your answers.

I remember S.O.S.
Service
Obedience
Sacrifice
The whole idea is to get the focus off of yourself and off of what the world tells you you should.
Service--Serving others is like serving God and it gets us focused on helping others and more on doing what Christ would do.
Obedience--If your not being obedient your pushing yourself away from God. Make sure you're doing your best to follow the commandments.
Sacrifice--Sacrificing something (like time, talents and pleasures) for God is a way of proving to yourself and God that you want to follow Him. It draws you closer to Him.
The world would tell you to question everything and fight against your faith--I ask you, do you think this would help you? It's OK to question, but questioning everything is a sure way to fail. Force yourself to pray and read the scriptures everyday, in a little while your faith will grow and your happiness along with it.
Be stronger than the world and it's limited views... follow the hope in your heart, don't let others robe you of it.

Well the ritualistic ceremonies are not even mentioned in the Bible, so it is a good thing if you don't like them. You are not at all insignificant to God. Jesus loves you, Infact He even died for you :) God made this entire universe yet each and everyone is significant to Him. My very own experience :) Jesus says, not one of the birds, fall without the Father's will, are you not much more important than the birds and the flowers. He loves you :) About prayer, do not pray to Mary or any of the other saints, God said you shall not have any other gods before me. All the others were just human. Also do not make idols or images, for God also says, do not make images of anything on heaven or on earth. Just pray to Him directly :) Proof comes after you believe. People don't understand how this works, but once you believe, God Himself assures you of His presence. My personal experience :) Read the Bible, pray to Jesus everyday :)

God's two commandments to Christians are found in Matt. 22:35-37. If everything you do reflects those two commandments then all that religious stuff doesn't matter. You don't get brownie points for being good, or going to church, or witnessing. Your job is to LIVE the TRUTH of the Gospel in every moment...LOVE God and LOVE your neighbor...the rest comes out of sharing the grace YOU have received.
To put it simply,
God loved you...He died for you...so you could live forever. Isn't that GREAT...go tell people about the relationship you have with Him. Read the Bible for Him to talk to you...Prayer is you talking back to Him in response to what He is saying to you. Witnessing is just telling everyone how great it is to have someone who loves you that much (like a girlfriend or boyfriend). Don't worry about running out to find people to tell, God will put them there...just be available and take advantage of the situations that God puts in your path. You don't have to beat down doors.
If your faith is in YOUR ability to do all that stuff that you mentioned your faith is not in GOD...it's in you...uh that doesn't work..you can't earn your way into God's good graces...you have to accept it as a gift.
God's
Riches
At
Christ's (not your)
Expense

It begins with a relationship: prayer. If you're going to the bible without prayer, if you're going into the mission field without prayer, if you're trying to keep the commandments without prayer....you're on your own, you're doing something in vain and it will fall apart eventually.
Spend time with God in prayer, being honest with God, humble yourself and worship. You must be filled with the Holy Spirit. Get involved at church.
Sin will keep you from the word and evangelism. Keep sin out and stay focused on your personal relationship with God. Stay humble.

Get another religion. Some say the commandments are no longer valid and some religions don't evangelize. A lot of Christians have never read the bible, so don't feel bad.

1) try a fast. not neccessarily giving up food, but any "idols" or distractions that hinder you from having a good relationship with God. so if you lie frequently, write a "slap me when I lie" not to yourself on your arm or something (just a joke, but do it if it works). start at an even pace if gluttony's your problem and go without food (just water) for say 3 weeks tops. by the fourth day it should feel alright. if it's shirking responsibility, leave sticky-notes on your computer, on your tv, etc. whatever it takes. fasting is about regaining control.
2) try a schedule. say, 4:00 - read Bible. 4:10 - pray, etc. also, if you have a problem with lying/impulsiveness, try thinking about what you've done before you say it (it takes some practice) or "unlying" -
say if your friend calls and says "we're gunna throw a party for (insert name of someone you dislike here), coming?" and you answer "actually I'm sick..." then counter it by saying "sick of that person", or simply "you know what, I just don't wanna go". eventually, with practice, you might end up saying it nicely.
3) evangelizing is about coming out of your comfort zone. whether it means going up to people who don't like you, or overcoming a the fear of being judged. again, it takes practice, and faith. and if you're witnessing, I suggest you don't pull the "go to Hell" angle. try making them consider if getting saved is good or not, without actually saying "God is good, join".
hope that helps!

u need to spend more time talking with the lord in prayer or by meditation. Put away the bible, the worship, and just talk with the almighty God. As for him to increase your faith, and that you want his spirit to draw closer to u. Ask for his voice, and by all means be like a child unto him, be curious, ask questions unto his holy spirit, and pray for the answers.

every believer goes through some spiritual struggle, the purpose is to grow deeper in faith and have a closer relationship with God. prayer helps, but also understanding why your struggling helps too. Christianity isn't all sunshine and good times, there is a lot of struggle and pain involved, but if you hold God in your heart you can overcome it and you will be a stronger person from it. keep the faith.
