The Baptist church believes the Bible is their authority.
The Catholic church believe that Tradition is equal to Bible.
While salvation by faith is the most crucial issue, in comparing Roman Catholicism with the Word of God, there are many other differences and contradictions as well. The Roman Catholic Church teaches many doctrines that are in disagreement with what the Bible declares. These include apostolic succession, worship of saints or Mary, prayer to saints or Mary, the pope / papacy, infant baptism, transubstantiation, plenary indulgences, the sacramental system, and purgatory. While Catholics claim Scriptural support for these concepts, none of these teachings have any solid foundation in the clear teaching of Scripture. These concepts are based on Catholic tradition, not the Word of God. In fact, they all clearly contradict Biblical principles.

There are a lot of differences between the religions. For one, the sacraments. Baptists believe that the only sacraments are baptism and the Lord Supper. Baptism is meant for adults, not for babies. Baptists do not have popes or dogma or traditions. They do not pray to saints, confess to priests, or say hail marys. There are many baptist denominations that forbid all alcohol intake and smoking, some that forbid dancing and card-playing.

Both are Christian religions, which is good. The Baptists are an offshoot of an offshoot from the Catholic Church and have discarded certain fundamental principles and Biblical books.
Many also have a misconception about salvation.

Go to wikipedia and read about the Reformation. Study the Bible hard too. There are some stuff in the Catholic Church that are made by man, not God.
