Normally I dislike "why" questions on Y!A, but I am genuinely puzzled by the lack of curiosity Christians display concerning the core belief of their faith.

Why do so few ask questions about about where the body of Jesus is at this moment?

Or whether it was at some point discarded?

Or whether he needed to breathe, eat or engage in other body functions, etc.?

Any help in explaining the common Christian complacency would be appreciated.

My question is when Jesus rose from the dead was it raining? The reason I ask this is because havent you all noticed every easter it rains? Its not a happin to be.I think it is gods way of trying to tell us the weather. I mean in the bible it doesn't say the weather. Mabe this is Jesus trying to fill in the blanks but nobody is tryig to read his signs. You all prob. think im retarded for even posting this but i think their is a possibility.

What do yall think?

This is not a typical prayer request. I believe strongly in the power of prayer. So much so in fact that I believe it is keeping me alive. I believe my family members are praying for me so much that God is not allowing me to come home. 7 weeks ago my girlfriend was killed in a plane crash. We had been together just short of 5 years. She would be 32 on Friday. I was planning my proposal to her for months. I have nothing left to live for. I want to be with her and I welcome death. I no longer want to be here. I am not suicidal, I believe that is the ultimate sin that cannot be forgiven. I want people to pray for me to go home. Maybe you have a sick loved one. I could go in their place. I would sacrifice my self for anyone so that they do not have to experience the pain that I am "living" through. I want people to pray to God to take me home to be with my love. I waited 27 years to meet her. I can't be on earth for decades without her. I have a love for her that I can't explain in words.

There were many books that never got published. They had to do with Jesus as a teenager and as a young adult. Growing up and learning about his powers. Whats up with that?

i have been struggling with these verses,in particular verse 21, what are your thoughts

Jesus' words in Matthew
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, BUT ONLY HE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Who determines when easter falls or is it determined by the church calender?

I have only been on this site for a short time and I rejoice that so many Christians participate. I have been a born again, baptised in the Holy Spirit believer for 22 years and walk closely with the Lord. My question is this - why do you feel the need to try to say as much as possible to every question asked? I have gone into answers and have been really irritated at what I see and if it makes me feel that way, how does the non-believer feel. Yes, it is right and good to quote scripture but far better 5 words of love and truth than a pageful that bores the reader before they finish. I think that we should be mindful of the fact that WE are still sinners and it's by grace alone that we are saved. Remember that Jesus is the LIVING word. I came from a background of spiritualism and the occult and it was his love that reached me. We are dealing with PEOPLE, they don't know they are manipulated by the enemy and at one time we were just the same. The need is for love. not condemnation.

I've been getting more and more interested in Catholicism these past few years. I understand a lot of things about it, but I still have a question.

Would someone please explain to me why Catholics pray to Mary? I don't get it. I'm curious.

Thanks for answering!

I posted a question asking why Muslims kill with bombs on public streets and I was verbally attacked by Muslims who also attacked American Christians. Why do Muslims hate Americans and everyone who does not follow the Islam way of thinking?

One or two hours at your church after the children leave school for the day. That would be quite sensible. It would prove to the world that you aren't using your chidren as tools to proselytize. There is nothing in your Bible that states children must pray and witness throughout the school day.

I'll give an example to show what I mean. I'm talking about different religions. Catholics believed Jesus died on the Cross. Jehovah's Witnesses don't. So which is it? Either Jesus died on the cross or he didn't. Could this mean there's a possibility that not even Jesus existed? Maybe there's just a God but no one else? No Jesus? No Virgin Mary? No St. Paul, Mark, Luke or anyone? What's the deal with different religions believing in different things? One religion group will argue this then another group will say, "no no that's not what happened. This is what happened." What's the deal?

What happened to Jesus body after the resurrection. Is he still living in some bodily fashion somewhere? If not, then why wouldn't we say that he is dead?

Does he really want his people to be saved? If yes, why doesn't he let his pressense known and not mistaken in today's world. Why doesn't he give us a sign from the heavens to let his people know that he wants them all to be saved? He knew there would be atheists so why doesn't he want to save them with showing that he loves them and gives them proof of his existance to many in this day and age.

Why was proof only for the christians in the roman times?

For example, most Christians believe that their God is all-loving and all-merciful. But most Christians also believe that this same God sends some people to eternal torment in the fires of Hell.

Even a four-year-old child is intelligent enough to see the contradiction between these two beliefs. But most Christians don't seem to care if two of their beliefs contradict each other. Can someone please explain this to me?
Thank you.
