It's not for me to say what is alive, nor is it necessary or desirable to do this.

Some things are alive, which are imperceptible to me. Therefore, I treat all things as being alive.

Also, some rocks seems not to be 'alive,' but they are important parts of a 'living' planet -- so there is nothing that is not part of life.

Personally, I treat the whole earth with reverence, whether it seems alive to me, or not.

to be living is hard to define. if you say it needs to grow and reproduce and change food in to energy. than you could say fire is a live. since it grows and consumes wood in to its flue. and its embers can create new flames. to define life is almost impossibles to say. all that we can say is that it is a force that is with in use. it is as some would call it a soul. some thing more that just a characteristic or a group of them. its a a froce that as humans we can not understand.
