"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14, also referenced in Mathew 1:23

And then Mary goes off and call him Jesus? How does that work? And how does it fulfill a prophecy if they can't even get the frigging name right?

In Santa Claus? If you do believe, you get presents. If you don't believe, you don't get presents, and you might get coal or bones. You have nothing to lose by believing in Santa, and you get a reward!

Is that true? He came down that mountain carrying 20 commandmants in hsi armsm then stumbled on a looose rock and accidently dropped 10 of the 20 commandments. That's how we wound up with just 10. Moses didn't want to walk back up that mountain.

Luke 18: 15-16
People were bringing EVEN INFANTS to him that he might touch them, and when the disciples saw this, they rebuked them.

Jesus, however, called the children to himself and said, "Let the children come to me and do not prevent them; for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

Luke 10: 21
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

John 3: 5
Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Mark 16: 16
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved..."

Acts 2: 38
And Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF YOUR SINS; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

I am most likely going to join a Catholic church in my area, but I keep wondering about something. Will I be discriminated because of my race? I am an Indian (no, not Native American, Indian. People in the South always think I am Native American). I doubt that this is true, but I have heard that some sects of Christianity (like Presbyterianism) can be little divisive when it comes to race.

P.S. If I offended any Presbyterians, I am not trying to be rude. This is just what I heard about some of them.

Matthew 25:37-46:
The righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

"The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

It seems getting into heaven requires a little more work than just 'being saved'. See also James 2:13-17.
