Is that true? He came down that mountain carrying 20 commandmants in hsi armsm then stumbled on a looose rock and accidently dropped 10 of the 20 commandments. That's how we wound up with just 10. Moses didn't want to walk back up that mountain.

No, according to "History of the World, part 1", Moses had 15 commandments, dropped 5, leaving 10.

The ten commandents was given to Moses twice, the same commandent at certain intervals and none was ever lost. Each time he only had the ten commandents that was written twice yet not brought down at the same time. Being obedient to God I believe Moses would have walked up that mountain a thousand times at God calling.

You've seen too many Mel Brooks movies. He came down, saw the golden calf and smashed the first set of tablets. Then he went up to get a second set.

No. He had 10, dropped them. God had him make 2 new tablets, and then Moses went back up with them for God to write on.

Nah, he had 10, then got mad at Aaron for letting the people make a golden calf to worship, and smashed them to pieces because he had a terrible temper. So he went back up and got God to burn him off a second copy.

"I was writing my commandments, on my tablets. And then Moses was like, 'BEEP BEEPBEEPBEEE,' and then, like, half of my commandments were gone. And I was like, unng?

He *devoured* my commandments.

They were really good commandments. And then I had to write them again and I had to do them fast, so they weren't as good.

It's kind of ... a bummer."
