I agree that if Jesus came back he would go directly to the atheists and Pagans as those who pretend to be his followers have so distorted his teachings and life. The ones he would have to forgive for working against his teachings as a Rebe and all they've done to soil his memory for their own needs of power and money are those who call themselves as Christians.

Well since I am an Atheist and an individual I can only speak for myself. I'd probably question if Jesus would forgive the people who misinterpret the bible, or people who tell Atheists that they will be sent to hell for not believing in God. Will Jesus forgive them too?

They will not believe Him. And an atheïst that shares his wealth and cares for the poor and his fellow man, just because he feels it's the right thing to do, will not have to be forgiven. Because he has done just the thing the Lord asked. Those who call themselves Christians and do nothing but go to church and judge on others, they are the true atheïsts.

Before Christ was crucified and He was on the earth people rejected Him, even the Jews who knew the prophesies in the OT. So if He came today and told someone who did not believe that He loved you- some may believe and some may not. Jesus does love you- He died for you. However it is your choice if you accept that love or not. When Jesus hung on the cross, do you know what one of his last words were-
"Father forgive THEM for they know not what they do".

What if some bearded dude in a long white hospital gown comes to you and says "I Love you" and i forgive You for all that you've done against me, what would you do?
I'd smile politely, then call for some doctors with nets and tranq guns.

Prove that a personal god exists, then we'll talk.
Much less a specific son from a specific religious book pieced together in the Late Roman empire.
Do you get my drift?
We need proof.

That's not going to happen - see, the guy is long dead.
What if Zeus, Allah, or Ahura Mazda reveals himself to you?
What if Yoda, Gollum, or Spider-Man do?

He's been dead 2,000 years so it's not a possibility that I spend a lot of time worrying about.
