I believe in Santa Claus, but I've stopped getting presents from him. Maybe he's upset that I haven't given him anything for Christmas. This year, I'll try putting milk and cookies out like the old tradition.

Perhaps the social stigma against people who still believe after, say, age 14 could be considered "something to lose." Fascinating how nothing like that exists with regard to God… although it certainly might if you pick the "wrong" god in the wrong culture — Allah in the US or Jesus in Turkey.

I give the children the presents on Christmas as a reminder of the three wise men and their gifts to our lord Jesus Christ and remind the youth the reason for this occasion.
