This is my issue. We know from a former staffer in the Faith- Based Initiatives office that only Christian programs were funded. Period. Not even a pretense that it wasn't government sponsorship of Christianity. If Christians would like to know how I feel about my tax dollars being used to support their superstition, all they have to do is consider how they would feel if the Faith-Based Initiatives office only funded Muslim Madrassas that teach children that Jesus was only a man, Mohamed was God's last prophet, and Israel must be destroyed, all with their tax dollars.

We are a plural society and in order for that to work Government has to stay out of promoting religion. I believed that fervently decades before I left the church. Given the sorry historical record when church and state cooperate, I would think Christians would be more vehement than Atheists are about keeping church and state apart. But we aren't talking about Christians in the Jesus sense. Were talking about cultural chauvinists in the Pat Robertson sense who aren't about spreading salavation as much as they are about stamping out the cultural competition.

And golly sakes isn't kleb's heart over-flowing with the love of baby Jesus? I think threats are forbidden here. Guess I'll just have to report him.

Mind controlling Christians like my master Pastor Melissa Scott and her dead husband Gene lose court battles when they act like they are above the judges and law. They bark louder than others to take their bowls of food. It is enjoyable when mind-controllers who climb up on the backs of people who work like a dog for them lose, to whoever they lose to.
Every dog's got to have his day.

i imagine that Christians, in the journey that they take the Bible actually, could harden to hearts to unhappy situations like that. They demonize the suicide sufferer so that they are going to sense a lot less unhappiness over the actual actuality the God they invented could deliver that similar unfavorable individual to conflict through in hell for an eternity. i imagine that calloused attitude is out of position throughout the time of such situations of tragedy, and in the journey that they have no longer something staggering to assert, they ought to not say something in any respect. I really have also lost a chum to suicide so i think undesirable for anybody dealing with one of those disaster. faith is the finest element someone needs at a time like that.

Why do so many people bash Christianity on this site? I don't have any religious affiliation, but I am living in a country with it's traditions rooted in judeo-christian philosophy, and that does affect who I am. I don't judge people for their beliefs, and I don't want anyone taking away my traditions. Why do so many people in the US insist on celebrating and accepting the beliefs and culture of other people, but not it's own?

Yes, everytime they get told to sit down and be quiet it is a victory for freedom, democracy and free speech!

( as weird that sounds, I am not being facetious.)

Do you really think Christians can control your mind? Christians believe as they do, and you believe as you do. Why would that affect your mind?
