I don't know where the theology of an unattached Jesus came from, I think he was married. He lived in a culture where he would have been expected to marry and have a family... Many say that He was married to Mary Magdalene, and part of the role of the Knights Templar was to protect His descendents, and descendents of the royal line of David. That He was himself a descendent in a royal line would of itself seem another reason for him to marry and produce an heir...

Edit: There are documents and actual research out there, I didn't pick up the notion that he was married from the DaVinci code, but from many other sources I have seen since long before the fictional story of the DaVinci code came out.... The DaVinci Code is a fictional action story written about the idea, and really, I wish people would quit treating it as though it presents any real information or scholarly investigation. There is the story of Father Sauniere at Rennes Le Chateau for one, which is the subject of serious investigation, and great mystery, also essays about different facets of the grail as it relates to the feminine divine in The Women's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets, written by Barbara Walker, who spent 25 years on the research to write her book, just to name a couple of sources where people are doing research on the idea....Walker gets much more metaphysical with her exploration of the idea that Magdeline was a Goddess, and also with a history of the grail as having a pre-existence to the story of the Christ, and a link to the feminine divine. But there are alot of people investigating who was Mary Magdelene, Who or What is the Grail, and whether the Christ was married...Also references in some of the so called "lost books" of the Bible, that Jesus' relationship with Mary Magdalene may have been much more than is traditionally presented in church.. While these sources are not necessarily accurate, I do consider them much more valid points to investigate than anything offered in the DaVinci Code, which above all is designed to be a good yarn.

Yes he had a wife. Mary Magdeline. Theres alot of things about jesus that people dont know. Like for instance when he was around 13 years old he killed another kid for being mean to him, But when everybody started to gather around and asking questions he rose the kid from the dead and said it was all an act.

no. don't you think if Jesus had a wife, it would have come out in the open in a form other than a fiction book written a few years ago?
dont you think it would be a schism-causing ordeal?

If you believe the part in the bible that calls him "Rabbi" then yes. To become a Rabbi a man must be married.
