I believe their hearts are in the right place - but they don't understand that their technique drives people away.
Quotes from scriptures do nothing to impress us unbeleivers. If we do not believe the bible is sacred and the literal word of God - why are we going to be moved by quotes from the bible?

There is a problem in the reading of the second chapter. You are assuming from verse 5 that rain has a relation the purpose to make the man. Something like there is not rain there is no need to make the man. Water Cycle has not being established. Some people think that The water cycle started with the flood. Some scientist think that the atmosphere was different before the flood and that has a relation with the long life people used to enjoy. Check chapter 1 in detail. Chapter one in verse 6 there is water divided on two parts under and above the expanse. Chapter one in verse 26 God is going to make them man. Chapter one in verse 31 declares the creation to be completed on the six day.

With a true born again believer condemnation is not directed to the person but to the act. I would be hard pressed to tell a person in a few short words, and them believe me, there is quick sand ahead. Jesus used parables, stories and held the attention of thousands even to the point He needed to feed them. You said you get irritated at what you see. In all you see it too is working patience in you. Society is fast fixes, fast food, fast everything. Fast answers is not love when you deal with matters of the heart that result in where one spends eternity. We need to be prepared to equip everyone with every tool we've got however long it takes. Be blessed in Him! Crystal

I am also born again 19 years
If I was near you I would give you a hug. I agree with every word you say. Sometimes the answers Christians give make me so embarrassed.
Even on the call in programmes on the radio. I cringe at the things they say and they only succeed in turning people off Christians and Christ instead of drawing them closer.
Personally I try to avoid getting into christian debates on this site.
We Christians must remember that people sin because the God of this world has blinded their eyes to the truth and we need to introduce them to the love of Christ to release them from this darkness.
Sitting here thanking God for his Grace as I am not 100% perfect.

I agree with you. Sometimes an answer might need some explanation, but not necessarily for a whole copy and paste chapter out of the Bible. Christians do have a problem with remembering that the un-believers don't have the spiritual eyes to see, hear or understand the Word of God as we do.

It is not the brevity or the length of the answer that matters but the "heart'/ if we use our heart instead of our head, we would be able to convey God's love. Some people need to use more words to get a point through, others fewer but what is really important is whether it is done in love or in spite.

Constructive scrutiny isn't condemnation. Law is: 2Cor3:9.

I agree. I try to be informative enough but I can't stand it when people write out whole verses and sermons. Just be concise and encouraging. Stop wasting my screen space!
P.S. I'm Christian who seldom answer religious questions so I'm innocent
