I'm just wondering because I have seen questions from Catholics wondering if they are allowed to do this, allowed to read this book, ect. I had a friend in High School who wouldn't go to a movie because her priest and the pope had forbidden it. And I have seen questions asking Protestants if we are forbidden by our Pastor from doing something. Protestant pastors don't typically work like that, however. But is that something that is uniquely Catholic? Forgive me, I'm not trying to be offensive and I'm not sure if I'm asking this question in the correct way.

I live 3 houses down from a huge, old, Catholic church, which, at least on Sunday's, it seems like all of Los Angeles attends. I've seen 100's of bumper stickers that say "Jesus is God, Read the Bible."

I'm confused...

Isn't Jesus the son of God? I'm not Catholic...so is this a Catholic belief?

This is a serious question...I'm not being sarcastic, I really would like to know!
Thanks!

1 John 2:18
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

Who do you think in the past and present could have been or could be potential antichrists?

...that grew bibles for the taking?

2007-03-24 13:10:10 · 4 answers · asked by Anonymous

So if quote something in the OT people tell me i did not consider the NT. Which puts things in context. Same thing with other stories which are in context of other things. However how does any of this matter if...... I do not consider the bible to be in the context of reality? (walking on water, talking serpents, magical bushes, people turning in to salt etc....)

How can I ever be accused of taking it out of context if the Bible is not in the context of reality?

I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was a preteen, and I had been living for him for several years. Then in high school I told myself there wasn't any point in believing in a God that didn't exist. I soon regretted it. That was three years ago, and I'm still struggling with whether I'm like Esau, and have thrown away my salvation. I sure don't feel saved. I also swear, and don't witness at all to people. I'd like it if there was some hope for me, but if not, then I guess I'd like to at least know whether I'm going to hell or not. Thanks.

so does God say "well wickens go to wicken land and muslims go to their heaven and christians go to where ever they think they are going to go?
Or is there one truth and the rest are all lies and those people have been fooled about their future life? Or lack of it.
